Is your Trainer MumSafe?

As a MumSafe Trainer I have chosen to remove "get your pre-baby body back' language".

I commit to removing this phrase from ALL of our environments. You will never hear these words from me and I will never push you to set goals that are based on 'getting your body back'.

Your body has changed and that is okay. I will help you to understand what your body has been through, what it has done and where it is right now and I will support you to first accept, then respect your body and to be able to move forward from a much healthier mindset than many of us have preciously been conditioned to believe. From here, if you choose you get to work to become the strongest and fittest version of yourself ever!

Thinking about getting into running but unsure if your body’s ready?

Here’s the truth: running is high-impact. Without strength in your glutes, core, and legs, your body struggles to handle the load - and that’s when injuries happen.

Before you lace up your runners, let’s build the foundation.
Stronger muscles = safer, more enjoyable runs.

To further understand how running impacts your body and what you can do to support yourself, send me a DM and I’ll send you my free guide for beginner mum runners.

As a MumSafe™ Trainer I am committed to continually up-skill. I hold a high standard and believe every Mum deserves to know what her body is capable of.

I believe that the more educated she is, the more she holds the power to know what is right for her body, every step of the way.

I've been a trainer for 20 years now and I will keep on learning & passing on my knowledge to my mum clients at all of their ages and stages (once postnatal always postnatal!)

Not every birth story feels empowering.

Sometimes birth leaves physical scars, sometimes it leaves emotional ones and sometimes both.

As part of Birth Trauma Awareness Week (13–19 July), I want to acknowledge the mums carrying experiences that were harder than they expected.

If your birth didn't go the way you'd hoped, if you still think about it years later, if parts of it still feel heavy.. that's okay.

Birth trauma can affect so much more than recovery, it can influence how safe you feel in your body, your confidence with movement and the way you care for yourself moving forward.

That's why being MumSafe trained matters to me because mums deserve support that takes their whole experience into account.

If returning to exercise feels overwhelming, uncertain or intimidating, let's start with a conversation.

❤️ You're welcome in my inbox anytime.

Ever feel like your training plan doesn’t quite work for you?
That might be because it wasn’t made for you.

Most exercise programs don’t consider the menstrual cycle, yet our hormones shift throughout the month and impact everything from energy levels to recovery to injury risk.

Your period isn’t a setback, it’s a powerful guide. 💪

Let’s stop ignoring it and start using it to our advantage.

At Body 4 Mind Connections we have undertaken further education to help you to understand more about training with your cycle - make sure to ask us when you're next at a session or book a trial/waitlist to experience the difference for yourself.

Which tells you everything you need to know about the gap that exists in our standard fitness education.

After I had first baby, I found myself doing what most mums do, piecing things together from Instagram, asking my GP questions they weren't really trained to answer and guessing when it felt okay to push harder and I was already an exercise professional. I had qualifications and I still felt completely underprepared for what my own body needed.

Then one of my best friends told me about her experience returning to exercise. How her PT had her doing exercises that her body wasn't ready for...that then contributed towards a prolapse.

That experience was uncomfortable in the best possible way, because it made me want to understand it properly not just for myself, but for every mum who would ever train with me.

Becoming a MumSafe Trainer meant learning more, getting a proper pre and postnatal certification and the right insurance, building a real relationship with a pelvic health physio. Committing to ongoing education so I'm not working from information that's 5 years out of date.

It changed how I coach and it changed how I think about what mums actually need from a trainer versus what most of them are getting.

Honestly, we don't know what we don't know. Just like my friend, you deserve someone who got the education, understands the journey and is fully prepared to support you - that's what I'm here for.

💬 If you're a trying to figure out where to start or where to start again, send me a message.

We’ve all been there - enlisting Dr Google to help us figure out what is going on with our body. Especially as a mum, your time is limited and you keep telling yourself that your symptoms are “just a part of being a mum”

You’ve been doing some exercise and something feels a bit off....Maybe it’s leaking, pressure, heaviness or your body just doesn’t feel the same anymore.

So you Google it, panic a little, then decide to just push through and hope it goes away.

You shouldn’t have to figure it out alone.

One thing I love about being a MumSafe Trainer is that we work closely with pelvic health physios. So if something comes up in training, there’s already a trusted professional there to support you properly.

No awkwardness, no guessing, no late-night Googling.

The right support when you need it ❤️

💬 Comment PHYSIO below and I’ll send you the link to find a MumSafe pelvic health physio near you. Worth having in your back pocket even if you don’t need it right now.
