A few weeks ago was World Parkinson’s Day, and if we’re honest — we missed it at the time. We didn’t post on the day, but it’s not something we wanted to let pass without saying something.

We support a number of older adults living with Parkinson’s, but we also see just how much it impacts the people around them — partners, families, and carers who show up every single day.

The patience, consistency and care it takes doesn’t always get seen, but it makes all the difference.

We might not have posted on the day, but it didn’t stop our team doing what they do best — showing up, supporting, and genuinely caring for the people we work alongside.

Today felt like a good moment to pause and recognise everyone living with Parkinson’s, and those walking that journey with them.

If someone comes to mind, a simple check-in can mean a lot.

🌺This morning, we stood alongside our local community at the Port Kennedy dawn service to honour ANZAC Day.

At Poppy’s, caring is at the heart of everything we do — and today is a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and mateship that shaped our country, and continues to live on in our community.

It was a privilege to pause, reflect, and share this moment together.

🌸 We’re nearly at 200 followers… and we couldn’t be more grateful. 🌸

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been busy out in the community — visiting clients, supporting families, and helping people navigate the upcoming Support at Home changes.

While we may have been a little quieter online, behind the scenes our team has been doing what matters most — being present, listening, and supporting older adults in their homes every day.
