📱🚨 Important Community Notice: AusAlert National Test Today 📱🚨

At 2:00 pm today, Monday 27 July, Australia’s new emergency warning system, AusAlert, will be tested nationwide.

Compatible mobile phones, tablets and smartwatches may vibrate and play a loud, siren-like sound for approximately 10 seconds—even if set to silent or ‘do not disturb’.

Please don’t be alarmed. The message will clearly state that it is only a test, and no action is required.

We encourage families, carers and support workers to let anyone who may be startled or distressed by the sudden sound know beforehand.

This important test will help ensure AusAlert is ready to keep our communities informed during future emergencies.

At the time of the test, a single Critical AusAlert test will be sent to every mobile device in Australia. Everyone with a compatible phone or other device in Australia can expect to receive the alert.

This NAIDOC Week, we proudly celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At Ourcare Services Limited, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and provide services. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples.

NAIDOC Week is an opportunity to listen, learn and reflect on the enduring strength, resilience and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. It reminds us of the importance of working together to build a future founded on respect, inclusion and reconciliation.

As we celebrate this important week, we encourage our community to take the time to learn about First Nations cultures, attend local events and continue meaningful conversations that strengthen understanding and connection.

Together, we can create a more inclusive future where every voice is heard, valued and respected.

At Ourcare Services Limited, we understand how important reliable and accessible transport is for people living in regional communities. We see firsthand the difference transport makes in helping people stay connected to healthcare, shopping, social activities, work, and everyday life.

That's why we're supporting this important survey being conducted by Taverner Research Group.
