The skin's natural desquamation cycle slows with age and accelerates that decline during hormonal transition.

As estrogen declines, cell turnover becomes less efficient, dead skin cells accumulate at the surface and the skin's receptivity to active ingredients reduces progressively. The result is a complexion that looks flat and a routine that delivers less than it once did, not because the products have changed, but because the skin processing them has.

BioRePeel combines trichloroacetic acid with a complex of amino acids, vitamins and gamma-aminobutyric acid to simultaneously exfoliate and biostimulate, clearing the surface accumulation while supporting collagen activity beneath it.

Unlike a purely exfoliating peel, it addresses both the barrier and the dermal environment in a single 30 minute appointment, with no significant downtime.

For clients whose skin has become less responsive over time, it resets the surface and restores the skin's capacity to absorb and respond to what follows, in clinic and at home.

Available from $231 as part of our Express Treatment Menu or within a broader treatment plan.

Since 1984.

What started as a clinic founded by nurses to bridge the gap between medical and aesthetic care has evolved into something broader.

Over four decades, the conversations happening inside these walls have shifted, from skin concerns to hormonal health, from surface treatments to the systemic drivers beneath them, from aesthetic medicine to preventative women's health.

The core values have remained the same. What we offer has grown considerably.

The clinical frameworks used to diagnose and treat women were built on research that largely excluded them as subjects. The diagnostic gap that followed is still present in consulting rooms today, and it is most visible in how hormonal symptoms are managed.

At Medical Aesthetic, we are evolving our approach toward preventative women's health and aesthetic medicine because of that gap. A full picture deserves a full response.

Clinical decision making is only as accurate as the information informing it.

Our in-clinic imaging system captures subclinical changes across hydration, pigmentation activity, collagen density and vascular behaviour that are not visible during a standard visual assessment.

In practice, this means we can identify the early stages of barrier compromise, collagen decline and UV damage before they present overtly on the surface, and build a treatment plan around what is actually happening rather than what can be seen.

As Medical Aesthetics’ approach evolves toward preventative women’s health and aesthetic medicine, this has become particularly relevant. Hormonal change affects the skin at a structural and cellular level long before the consequences are visible. Identifying that shift early, and responding to it within a plan that accounts for the hormonal environment driving it, is where preventative care operates most effectively.

The skin changes that emerge in your 40s are frequently driven by what is happening hormonally, not just structurally.

As estrogen declines during perimenopause, collagen loss accelerates, facial fat redistributes and the tissue providing structural support begins to thin. The laxity, loss of definition and changes in contour that follow originate in the deeper layers of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. Addressing them at the surface produces limited results because the driver sits well beneath it.

Morpheus8 delivers radiofrequency energy at those depths, stimulating collagen remodelling and tissue repair where hormonal driven structural decline is most active. Firmness and definition improve progressively over a course of treatments, and results compound when Morpheus8 is sequenced alongside treatments addressing other layers of concern.

For clients in their 40s and 50s noticing changes their current plan is no longer keeping pace with, a consultation is a good place to start.

Expression lines form through a different mechanism to lines driven by volume loss or skin thinning, and they respond to a different category of intervention.

Repeated neuromuscular activity over decades creates persistent creasing in the overlying skin that collagen support alone cannot fully resolve. SkinCeuticals P-TIOX uses a peptide complex including acetyl hexapeptide, argireline and leuphasyl to modulate the signals that trigger muscle contraction at the skin's surface, reducing the depth and appearance of expression lines without injectables.

It sits comfortably alongside the rest of your routine and works particularly well paired with Collagen Amplifier for clients wanting to address both structural and movement-driven concerns at a homecare level.

Ask our team about P-TIOX at your next appointment.

Most peels work by exfoliating the surface. BioRePeel works differently.

A biostimulating peel rather than a purely exfoliating one, BioRePeel combines trichloroacetic acid with a complex of amino acids, vitamins and gamma-aminobutyric acid to simultaneously exfoliate, hydrate and support collagen activity within a single treatment. The result is improved skin tone, refined texture and a more even, luminous complexion without the extended recovery period associated with deeper peels.

It is suited to clients wanting meaningful skin renewal without significant downtime, those maintaining results between more advanced procedures, and those beginning their skin journey with a clinically guided entry point. It works particularly well when sequenced alongside treatments addressing deeper structural concerns, improving the skin’s surface receptivity and overall quality as part of a broader plan.

At Medical Aesthetic, we have been working with laser technology since 1999, and over that time we have developed an approach that goes well beyond a single pass with a single technology.

Our Laser Facial uses Q-switched technology to deliver photoacoustic shockwaves into the skin, targeting pigmentation, fine lines, congestion, enlarged pores and acne scarring without thermal energy or downtime. Unlike thermal laser treatments, it stimulates collagen production without disrupting the skin's surface, making it comfortable enough for a lunch break appointment while delivering meaningful rejuvenation over a course of treatments.

When combined with a clinician applied peel, the peel clears the surface first, removing the accumulated layer of dead skin cells that blocks light reflection and reduces the skin's receptivity to everything that follows. With that barrier cleared, the laser works on skin that is primed to respond. The treatment can also be extended to the neck and dΓ©colletage for a consistent result across the full area.

The result is a treatment that addresses multiple concerns and multiple layers in a single appointment, each modality amplifying the one before it. This is our signature approach to skin quality, refined over 25 years.

Part of our Lift. Firm. Glow. winter promotion. Peel and Glow from $299, valid 1 June to 31 August.
