The skin's natural desquamation cycle slows with age and accelerates that decline during hormonal transition.

As estrogen declines, cell turnover becomes less efficient, dead skin cells accumulate at the surface and the skin's receptivity to active ingredients reduces progressively. At Medical Aesthetic, we have been working with laser technology since 1999, and over that time we have developed an approach that goes well beyond a single pass with a single technology.

Our Laser Facial uses Q-switched technology to deliver photoacoustic shockwaves into the skin, targeting pigmentation, fine lines, congestion, enlarged pores and acne scarring without thermal energy or downtime. Unlike thermal laser treatments, it stimulates collagen production without disrupting the skin's surface, making it comfortable enough for a lunch break appointment while delivering meaningful rejuvenation over a course of treatments.

When combined with a clinician applied peel, the peel clears the surface first, removing the accumulated layer of dead skin cells that blocks light reflection and reduces the skin's receptivity to everything that follows. With that barrier cleared, the laser works on skin that is primed to respond. The treatment can also be extended to the neck and décolletage for a consistent result across the full area.
