Your HYROX training probably has too much HYROX in it.
Simulating the full event every weekend feels productive. It’s also one of the fastest ways to plateau, you’re just practising being tired, not building the qualities that make you fast on race day.
What actually improves HYROX performance:
→ A bigger aerobic engine
→ Running that holds up when your legs are compromised
→ Strength and power in the movements that matter
Build those separately.
Then combine them close to race day, when specificity actually pays off.
Build the components. Then make it specific.
Do you do a full sim most weekends? Be honest.
