💙 WHAT THE B CORP™ MARK MEANS TO US 💙

To some, the B Corp™ logo may seem like a small symbol.

But to us, it represents something much bigger.

It reflects a commitment to building a business that exists not only to generate profit, but to create positive impact for people, communities and the planet.

At Your Hart 2 Hart, we believe that technology should enhance humanity, not replace it.

We believe that care should be ethical, accessible and deeply human.

We believe that business can be a force for good.

As a social enterprise, we reinvest 50% of our profits back into our mission — creating sustainable healthcare, expanding access to essential services and supporting the wellbeing of the communities we serve.

Becoming a B Corp™ is not the end of the journey.

It is a commitment to continually asking ourselves:

💙 Are we creating meaningful impact?
💙 Are we supporting our team well?
💙 Are we caring for our communities and environment?
💙 Are we building the kind of future we want to leave for the next generation?

For us, the answer to sustainable healthcare is social enterprise.

Because we believe business can help create a more compassionate, inclusive and human-centred world.

🐉✨ MYTHS ACROSS CULTURES – THE CHINESE DRAGON

What does a dragon mean?

The answer depends on where you are in the world.

In many Western stories, dragons are often portrayed as creatures to be feared or defeated.

In Chinese culture, however, dragons have long been symbols of wisdom, strength, prosperity, and good fortune.

They are associated with leadership, protection, and harmony between humanity and the natural world.

It is a powerful reminder that stories travel differently across cultures.

The same symbol can carry different meanings, shaped by history, tradition, and the values of a community.

That is one of the joys of exploring myths from around the world.

They invite us to look beyond our own assumptions and discover how other cultures understand courage, wisdom, and hope.

Today we celebrate the Chinese Dragon — a symbol that has inspired generations through its connection to strength, wisdom, and good fortune.

Because myths are more than stories.

They are windows into how cultures see the world.

🤖 MIDWEEK MIRROR

“We taught the robot how to pray.”

That simple statement sparked a surprisingly big conversation around the world.

A humanoid robot in the UAE was shown learning prayer movements and participating in cultural demonstrations. For some people it was a sign of how far technology has come. For others it raised deeper questions about faith, culture and what it means to be human.

Perhaps the discussion isn’t really about robots at all.

A robot can learn movements.

A robot can learn words.

A robot can learn timing.

But faith?

Faith is something more.

It is belief.
It is hope.
It is meaning.
It is the stories, experiences and values that shape who we are.

Technology can imitate many things that humans do.

Yet some things remain uniquely human.

Maybe the question isn’t:

“Can a robot pray?”

Maybe the question is:

“What gives our actions meaning?”

❤️ Technology can learn culture.
❤️ Humanity creates meaning.
❤️ The conversation matters.

Humans:
“We taught the robot how to pray.”

AI:
“I can learn the movements.
I can learn the words.
I can even learn the timing.

But faith?

That still belongs to you.”

Thank you Reuters for sharing this thought-provoking story.

Heaven Scent 🐅🌿

A big thank you to Melbourne Zoo for sharing this wonderful glimpse into the lives of Indrah and Hutan, their beautiful Sumatran tigers.

It turns out that enrichment can come in many forms — including perfume.

When keepers spray scent onto leaves and natural materials, the tigers investigate, roll, explore and engage with their environment in ways that stimulate their natural curiosity and instincts. The famous “Flehmen response” may look like a grin, but it’s actually a way of gathering more information about a scent.

It’s a lovely reminder that wellbeing isn’t just about meeting physical needs. Whether we’re talking about people or animals, opportunities for exploration, sensory experiences, play and enrichment all contribute to quality of life.

At Your Hart 2 Hart, we often speak about the importance of meaningful experiences, connection and joy. Sometimes joy looks like a beach walk, a forest adventure, a favourite book or a community outing.

And sometimes, apparently, it looks like a tiger rolling around in perfume-scented leaves. 🐅💚

Thank you to Melbourne Zoo and the dedicated keepers who help create enriching environments for the animals in their care.

📚💜 I DON’T READ BOOK CLUB: Librarian Edition 💜📚

You know, a lot of people think working in a library means quietly shelving books and occasionally saying, “Shhh.”

But modern libraries are so much more.

Libraries are places of:

✨ Community
✨ Learning
✨ Creativity
✨ Technology
✨ Inclusion
✨ Connection

Librarians help people discover new worlds, access information, learn digital skills, find employment resources, connect with their community, and sometimes simply find a safe and welcoming place to belong.

At I Don’t Read Book Club, we know that stories come in many forms:

📚 Books
🎧 Audiobooks
🎬 Movies
🎮 Manga and graphic novels
💻 Digital media

Libraries truly are places of magic.

Thank you to librarians everywhere for opening doors to knowledge, curiosity and imagination every single day.

Because libraries don’t just lend books.

They build communities. While having the best brooches, glasses and socks. ❤️

🌙✨ MYTHS ACROSS CULTURES – CHANG’E

Why do so many cultures look at the moon and see stories?

In Chinese mythology, Chang’e is the Moon Goddess — a figure associated with love, sacrifice, hope, and longing. Her story has been shared across generations for centuries, becoming one of China’s most beloved legends.

While the details differ across cultures, the moon appears again and again in human storytelling.

It inspires wonder.
It sparks imagination.
It reminds us that people across the world have always looked up at the same sky and asked the same questions.

Who are we?

Where do we belong?

What lies beyond the horizon?

Myths help us explore those questions. They connect us to culture, history, and one another.

Today we celebrate Chang’e and the enduring power of stories to travel across generations, borders, and time.

Because sometimes the stories we tell about the moon reveal something beautiful about ourselves.

📚❤️ Stories Belong to Everyone

One of the wonderful things about books is their ability to travel across generations, communities and cultures.

We loved learning that the Yukon Native Language Centre is working to translate beloved children’s books by Robert Munsch into Indigenous languages, helping more young people experience stories in the languages of their families and communities.

Language carries more than words.

It carries history.
It carries identity.
It carries belonging.

Projects like this remind us that literacy, culture and connection can grow together when we make space for diverse voices and traditions.

At Read & Roam, we celebrate books that help people discover new worlds while also honouring the stories, languages and cultures that make our communities unique.

📖🌿✨

What book from your childhood would you love to see shared in more languages?

Thank you to CBC Books for sharing this story.

🎒 What We Do Wednesday

What Is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy is about helping people do the things that matter most to them.

Despite the name, Occupational Therapy isn’t just about work or employment.

It focuses on everyday activities that help people live meaningful, independent and connected lives.

Occupational Therapists can support people to:

🏠 Live more independently at home

🎒 Participate in education and learning

💼 Build skills for employment and meaningful activities

🚗 Access their community with confidence

💚 Develop routines, strategies and everyday life skills

Every person has different goals.

For one person, that might mean learning to cook a meal independently.

For another, it might be returning to work, managing sensory needs, participating at school, or increasing confidence in the community.

Occupational Therapy is about understanding what matters to the individual and working alongside them to build the skills, supports and strategies needed to achieve those goals.

Because participation looks different for everyone.

💚 Helping people do the things that matter most.

🦎 Who Runs the World? Apparently, the New Mexico Whiptail Lizard.

Nature has a remarkable way of reminding us that there is no single blueprint for life.

The New Mexico Whiptail Lizard is an all-female species that reproduces through a process called parthenogenesis — producing offspring without fertilisation by a male.

Scientists believe the species arose through hybridisation between two related lizard species, creating a unique evolutionary pathway that continues today.

What fascinates us isn’t just the biology.

It’s the reminder that life is incredibly diverse. Across the natural world, species have evolved countless ways to survive, adapt and thrive in changing environments.

Every time we think we have nature figured out, it surprises us.

At Your Hart 2 Hart, we often talk about inclusion, belonging and celebrating difference. Sometimes the greatest reminder comes from the natural world itself.

🦎 Different doesn’t mean wrong.
🌿 Diversity is a strength.
💚 Nature is full of stories we are still learning to understand.

Thank you to the Natural History Museum for sharing this fascinating piece of science.

🐾 LOVE HAS NO AGE LIMIT. 🐾

When 21-year-old tabby cat Miffy lost her owner, finding a new home was expected to be difficult.

Instead, she found exactly where she belonged.

At 90 years old, Shirley welcomed Miffy into her retirement village home, creating a new friendship built on companionship, comfort and connection.

Stories like this remind us that wellbeing is not only about medical care or daily tasks.

It is also about relationships.

For many older adults, companion animals can provide:

💚 Purpose and routine
💚 Emotional comfort
💚 Reduced loneliness and social isolation
💚 Increased wellbeing and connection
💚 Unconditional love

As our communities age, we must continue to recognise the importance of meaningful relationships in all their forms — whether with family, friends, support workers, volunteers or beloved pets.

Because care is more than tasks.

Care is presence.
Care is relationship.
Care is belonging.

Thank you to ABC Hobart and reporter Andy Gall for sharing Miffy and Shirley’s heartwarming story.
