One year ago Amanda tore her ACL skiing in Japan. She never thought she'd get back on the mountain.

No surgery. 100% cleared. Back doing what she loves.

Amanda worked with Zac, Jonathan and our EP team throughout her recovery, no retelling her story, no disconnect between practitioners, just one team working toward the same goal.

If you're navigating an injury and not sure where to start, book an initial consultation at the link in our bio.

Meet Donald, Orthopaedic Surgeon at MTP Health.

Donald specialises in robotic hip and knee surgery and sporting knee injuries, working with everyone from older patients managing wear and tear, to younger athletes recovering from injuries on the pitch.

His approach? Surgery is not always the answer. But when it is, it’s always coupled with a rehabilitation plan built around what the patient actually wants to get back to.

Surgical or non-surgical, the goal is the same. Get you back to your life.

From surgery to sport, there's a system for that.

At MTP, rehab isn't sold on a timeline. You move through each phase when your body is ready, assessed on data, not dates.

Three phases. Two checkpoints. The same team from start to finish.

Not sure which phase you're in? DM us.

Meet Sarah, Exercise Physiologist at MTP Health.

Sarah's day-to-day spans lower back pain, low bone mineral density, and younger athletes. But what she loves most is seeing someone arrive uncertain and leave with a plan they're actually excited about.

That's what exercise physiology looks like when it's done well, and why the multidisciplinary model at MTP makes all the difference.

πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ No Pain No Gain? πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

A very common misconception in the world of intelligent strength training is the notion that in order to get the best result possible we must push ourselves to absolute failure every single time we train.

This is simply not the case!

Our body is an intelligently adaptive machine that responds to an appropriate amount of stimulus. Fortunately for us, that stimulus does not need to mean absolute failure.

In fact, reaching absolute failure can actually hamper of ability to gain strength efficiently over the long term.

This applies to everyone who needs to improve their strength, from the rehab trainee who can’t get up from their chair, to the elite lifter who wants to deadlift more. The keys to improvement are frequency, consistency and intelligent stimulus.

We find that as soon people truly understand this concept in their own specific context they can start to make meaningful improvements to their current state of function, experiencing true progress for good.

It seems so simple, but sometimes we all need a little reminder.
