Here's the simple breakdown to a TMS session!

Save this for before your first appointment! We don't need to overcomplicate it. 🤗

What's the one thing you'd want to know before your first session?

We love when the community can access support for free!

This expo brought together a range of services from across the northern corridor, giving the community free access to information, something we loved being a part of!

Thank you to the organisers for organising such a wonderful event and for the opportunity to have conversations about mental health and TMS therapy! 🫶🏻

If you would like to learn more about our TMS therapy as a mental health treatment, please call our team on (08) 6166 3733 for our WA clinics, or (08) 8125 8500 for our Adelaide clinic, or visit our website at www.modalis.com.au.

This is a technology only available in Adelaide clinics that are run by Modalis.

That's right, we use images of your own brain to guide your treatment! 🙌🏻

Our MRI-guided neuronavigation, a process for specifically determining the target site during coil placement in TMS, means every TMS session is mapped to your unique brain anatomy, for true millimetre accuracy.

Right now, Modalis Adelaide is offering fully Bulk Billed treatment for all Medicare patients who are referred for TMS between September-October 2026 to treat depression. This means that the TMS Prescription Appointment and the full treatment course are all bulk billed through Medicare!

If you'd like to learn more about our Adelaide Bulk-Billing offer, please call us on (08) 8125 8500 for our Adelaide clinic, or visit www.modalis.com.au.

As it's OCD Awareness Week this week, we wanted to clear up a few common misunderstandings about TMS as a treatment option for OCD in particular.

TMS can be used as an off-label protocol for OCD, and although it is not TGA approved, our off-label protocols are backed by clinical research and evidence. 🙌🏻

A few things we hear often vs. the truths:

🧠 ‘TMS is only for treatment-resistant depression’, when it's also used off-label for OCD, tinnitus and chronic pain.

🧠 ‘That off-label means unproven’, when it simply means it's being used for a condition outside its original TGA approval, still guided by clinical evidence.

🧠 ‘TMS for OCD is only a last resort’, when it can be considered alongside existing therapy or medication.

🧠 ‘TMS for OCD is the same treatment as TMS for depression’, when it's actually tailored specifically to target the area of the brain connected to OCD symptoms.

If you'd like to learn more, please call us on (08) 6166 3733 for our WA clinics, or (08) 8125 8500 for our Adelaide clinic, or visit www.modalis.com.au.

Which of these surprised you? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

This might not look like the most conventional treatment option for OCD, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t a real option.

OCD is a debilitating condition, and we are proud to be supporting those who live with its effects day-to-day through the use of TMS therapy.

TMS for OCD uses a different protocol to depression, targeting a different area of the brain. For OCD, the brain area called the Orbitofrontal Cortex (OFC) is targeted, whereas treatment for depression usually targets the Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex (DLPFC).

Although TMS isn’t TGA approved to treat OCD, it is backed by clinical research and evidence.

Last week, our team joined Alzheimer's WA for The Dementia Symposium 2026 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. 🧠

Staying connected to conversations like these is part of how we continue to learn, grow, and support the people and families we work with every day.

We were reminded of how important ongoing research is to the Alzheimer's community, and how important research studies, like our own off-label Alzheimer's protocol, are to the future of Alzheimer's care.

With National Carers Week taking place this week, it felt like the right time to acknowledge the carers behind so many of these conversations. The people who care for someone living with dementia every day. 💚

Thank you to Alzheimer's WA for hosting such a valuable day!

It's day 6 of Mental Health Week, and today we're sharing how our own team looks after their mental health while at work. 💚

It's often the small things that make the biggest difference!

Appreciating our furry friends at Modalis this mental health week! 🫶🏻

Pets are proof that support doesn't always need words! Sometimes it's just listening, giving comfort, and being present, whether that's for ourselves or for those around us. 🤗

Did you know that some of our clinics are pet-friendly? Do you love a pet-friendly clinic as much as we do? 🤗

Did you see us there?

Last Wednesday, our team headed down to Mandurah Foreshore to take part in this free community event, celebrating Mental Health Week alongside mental health services and wellbeing organisations from across the Peel region. 🫶🏻

It was great to share information about TMS, and be part of a day that brings mental health support right into the heart of the community!

Thank you to Wellness Wednesday for hosting such a fantastic event, we loved being part of it! ✨

Did you know our clinic is only 2 blocks away from the foreshore on Sutton Street? 🧠

With a clinic in Mandurah, we also support the Peel region by delivering TMS therapy using MRI-guided NeuroNavigation. If you want to find out more about how TMS can support you, visit our website via the link www.modalis.com.au or call our team on (08) 6166 3733 for our WA clinics or (08) 8125 8500 for our Adelaide clinic.
