My little man constantly reminds me that play isn’t frivolous, it’s essential to a life that feels full and alive.
So I’m finding more ways to choose it, even if it’s in teeny little pockets this season…
Because where there is play, fear has less power to be the narrator (which is a helpful reminder when my anxiety is the more favoured lens 😂😅).
When everything feels a bit too overwhelming, I crave the things that make me feel ALIVE - creativity, art, music, 5 minutes in the garden, dancing in the kitchen, hanging with loved ones, being inspired by people making cool sh*t, and leaving a little room for random magic to find its way in ⭐️✨
Because the heaviness AND the joy can co-exist (where there is capacity).
I’m often re-learning that a life well lived isn’t about waiting until everything feels good before we let ourselves enjoy it, it’s about choosing little pockets of joy anyway.
So, if you see me at the lights absolutely belting out some car karaoke - join me 😉
