When my client told me she'd had cake for breakfast, I smiled. Not because I'm encouraging people to eat cake for breakfast every day.

But because of what it represented.

It was her daughter's birthday weekend. Between the celebrations and everything else that comes with family life, the birthday cake never got cut.

So the next morning... They had cake for breakfast.

No guilt.

No shame.

No "I'll be good tomorrow."

No trying to make up for it by skipping lunch.

Just a family enjoying a special moment together. To me, that's a huge win. Because nutrition isn't just about what ends up on your plate.

It's about your relationship with food. It's about celebrating birthdays without anxiety. It's about making memories without guilt.

It's about knowing that one meal or in this case, one slice of cake, doesn't define your health. That's the kind of confidence I want every woman to have.

Not because cake for breakfast is the goal. But because food no longer controls the moment.

That's what we work towards inside Your Nourished Path. Not perfect eating. Not food rules.

Just a healthier relationship with food that gives you the confidence to enjoy life's special moments without feeling like you've failed.

If you're ready to stop letting guilt make the decisions, I'd love to help. Book your free 30-minute discovery call and let's talk about whether Your Nourished Path is the right fit for you.

The biggest change isn't usually what's on the plate.

It's what's happening in your head. When women first come to me, they're often exhausted. Not because they don't know anything about nutrition.

Because they've spent years trying to piece it all together.

A podcast here.

A social media post there.

Advice from a friend.

A meal plan they tried once.

Another "expert" telling them to cut something out.

It's overwhelming.

But when you stop trying to figure it all out on your own, something starts to shift. You stop second-guessing every food choice. You stop feeling like you've failed because one meal didn't go to plan.

You stop chasing perfection and start building confidence. Not because I've given you a list of rules. Because together, we create an approach that's built around your life, your body and your goals.

That's what Your Nourished Path is all about.

No guilt. No judgement. No cookie-cutter meal plans.

Just personalised nutrition support that helps you feel calm, confident and in control around food.

If you're ready to stop trying to figure it all out on your own, I'd love to help.

β˜• Nutrition myths I'd happily bust over coffee...

If we sat down together for a coffee, I can almost guarantee we'd end up talking about food.

More specifically... all the confusing advice that's out there.

One person tells you to cut carbs. Another says fruit has too much sugar. Someone else tells you one takeaway has "ruined" your day.
No wonder so many women feel like they're getting it wrong.

Here are five myths I hear all the time and what I'd tell you instead.

πŸ’š Myth 1: Carbs make you gain weight.
Carbohydrates are your body's preferred source of energy. They're not something you need to fear. Rather than cutting them out, focus on the bigger picture, your overall eating pattern, portion sizes and what you're pairing them with.

πŸ’š Myth 2: Fruit has too much sugar.
Fruit does contain natural sugars, but it also provides fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Looking at the sugar alone misses everything else it brings to the table.

πŸ’š Myth 3: Healthy eating has to be expensive.
It doesn't. Some of my favourite staples are frozen vegetables, canned beans, eggs, oats and yes... even bagged salad. Healthy eating is about making the most of what fits your budget and your lifestyle.

πŸ’š Myth 4: You have to cut out chocolate to be healthy.
Healthy eating isn't about never eating chocolate. It's about building an overall eating pattern that supports your health while still making room for the foods you enjoy.

πŸ’š Myth 5: One takeaway ruined my day.
One meal doesn't define your health. Your next meal is another opportunity to nourish your body. There's no need to wait until Monday to "start again."

The internet is full of nutrition advice.
Some of it's helpful. Some of it's outdated. And some of it just makes healthy eating feel far more complicated than it needs to be.

πŸ’š Follow along if you're ready to cut through the noise and make healthy eating feel a whole lot simpler.

Somewhere between wanting to eat more vegetables... and having none in the fridge.

Somewhere between planning balanced meals... and forgetting lunch.

Somewhere between wanting to nourish your body... and eating chocolate after dinner.

Sound familiar?

I think we've been sold the idea that healthy eating has to look perfect.

But real life rarely does.

This week's blog is all about why the messy middle still counts, why small choices matter more than perfect ones, and how to stop treating every meal like a pass-or-fail test.

If you've ever felt like you're "failing" at healthy eating because life got in the way, this one's for you.

If I was your nutritionist, I'd want you to stop apologising for these 5 things.

It's something I hear all the time.

"I know I should be doing better."

"I haven't been very good this week."

"You're going to tell me off for this..."

The truth is, if we worked together, these are five things I'd ask you to stop apologising for.

1. Buying convenience foods.

Bagged salad, frozen vegetables, microwave rice... if they help you nourish your body more often, they're doing exactly what they're meant to do.

2. Not cooking every night.

Life is busy. Healthy eating doesn't have to mean spending hours in the kitchen.

3. Eating foods you enjoy.

Chocolate. Birthday cake. Dinner out with friends. One meal doesn't undo your health.

4. Having an imperfect week.

One busy week doesn't mean you've failed. You don't need to "start again" every Monday.

5. Needing support.

You weren't taught how to navigate decades of conflicting nutrition advice, changing hormones, busy schedules and real life. Asking for help isn't a weaknessβ€”it's often the thing that finally helps everything make sense.

When women first come to see me, they're often expecting judgement.

Instead, we start with a conversation.

About your life.
Your goals.
Your challenges.
And what will actually work for you.

Because you don't need another meal plan that sits in a drawer.

You need a way of eating that fits your real life and helps you feel confident with food.

If you're tired of feeling guilty every time food doesn't go to plan, let's change that. Book your free 30-minute discovery call, and let's see if Your Nourished Path is the right fit for you. Find the link in bio or here https://www.kazlitnutrition.com/book-now

You decided to hire me for weight loss...

And that's completely okay. For many women, that's the reason they first reach out. But somewhere along the way, something changes.

You stop feeling guilty every time you enjoy a piece of cake.
You stop believing one meal can ruin all your progress.
You stop overthinking every food choice.
You stop starting again every Monday.

Instead, you start understanding your body. You build confidence around food. You learn what works for your lifestyle instead of trying to follow someone else's plan.

And that's when the real transformation happens. Yes, weight loss might still be part of your journey. But it's no longer the only measure of success.

Because feeling confident, calm and in control around food changes so much more than the number on the scales ever could.
That's exactly why I created Your Nourished Path.

πŸ’š If you're ready to stop starting over and build confidence with food, send me PATH and let's chat.
