Welcome to an inclusive and supportive group interested in conversations and support around mental health and wellbeing.
The founding admins of the group have all dealt with their share of trauma and suffering in their lives.
They have found tips, tools and techniques to not only deal with their stories, but to have come out the other end with a desire to continue the conversation in the support of others.
** To be clear ** all conversations within the page are general in nature and are NOT a substitute for seeking professional advice. Please do not hesitate to reach out to those professional organisations to get the help you need. Please do not think that you, or what you are dealing with is "too small" or not important!
We take our hats off to those organisations who offer professional support and services to those in need. We encourage, wholeheartedly, those organisations also, to be a part of this conversation, in order to recognise those in need and become part of the solution.
Grab a Plate, Grab a Mate is meant to represent everything that we've loved, growing up as Aussies! It is designed to see beyond gender, or social or economic background. To who we are and what we need as humans.
Sometimes that is just a proverbial, hand on the shoulder and a "come over and have a bite with us."
Whether it's a picnic in the park, a barbie by the beach, a fancy dinner out or inviting someone over to your house. It's just about starting a conversation with someone who looks like they might need it.
Because, trust me...they do.
Welcome, please join our conversation...
