We invest significant time to fully understand our client’s health situation and personal preferences in detail which means their hand selected Support Worker will be best suited to help them achieve their goals whatever they might be. Pete has been hard at work at his woodworking class at Baringa, continuing to create his sign for Inclusion Day.

Pete is incredibly creative and enjoys bringing his ideas to life through designing and making unique pieces, which he also sells at local stalls. It’s wonderful to see his skills, confidence and creativity continue to grow.

A New Chapter for Oscar!

Oscar has recently moved into his beautiful new home at Glasshouse Mountains, and he is settling in wonderfully!

He is loving his new routine, building great relationships with his Support Workers, and showing more of his fun and cheerful personality each day.
Recently, Oscar enjoyed a lovely bakery visit and morning tea with Josiah and Nabin before heading up to the lookout, a fantastic achievement!
Today, Oscar was also busy chatting, laughing and joking with Care Coordinator Lauren and Support Workers Leigh and Nabin.

The YHC team are absolutely loving watching Oscar settle into his new home, embrace new experiences, build meaningful connections and, most importantly, have plenty of fun along the way!

A great day of hands-on learning for the Your Home Care team!

Our team recently completed practical manual handling and hoist training, taking turns using the sling and hoist equipment so everyone could experience the process from both the worker’s and participant’s perspective.
The session focused on safe techniques, correct equipment use, clear communication, dignity and comfort.

It forms part of the wider training program we have been building, which includes e-learning, face-to-face competency sign-offs, specialist training and client-specific orientation tailored to each person’s needs, routines and risks.

We are committed to giving our team the knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need to provide safe, respectful and high-quality support.

Justin had such a lovely morning out and about! After happily playing his mini organ, he headed off for a relaxing walk along the shoreline. He received lots of friendly hellos from people passing by, including members of the local council.

Justin was all smiles as he searched for the perfect BBQ spot to enjoy his lunch. A beautiful day filled with sunshine, fresh air and friendly faces.

What a joy it has been to see Dariyn settle into his beautiful new purpose-built home, where he is receiving 24/7 supports.

He has been loving his new surroundings and making the most of each day, getting out into the community, exploring new places and enjoying plenty of smiles and adventures along the way.
