This is probably one of the hardest posts I've ever had to write.

Many of you have followed The Awakening Journey from the very beginning. You've celebrated the wins with me. From partnerships with organisations to seeing culturally safe resources reach hospitals and communities. Thank you for believing in this dream.

But I want to be honest.

While my consultancy work has continued to grow (something I'm incredibly grateful for), product sales simply haven't been enough to sustain this side of my business.

Like many First Nations business owners, I've poured years of my knowledge, experience, heart, time, savings and countless hours into creating culturally safe resources because I believe our women and families deserve to see themselves reflected in the support they receive.

I'm now at a crossroads. If product sales don't improve, I'll have to step away from this part of the business and focus solely on consultancy work.

The thought of that breaks my heart.

These aren't just products. They're a dream I've poured so much of myself into, and I don't think I can let that dream go without doing everything I can to keep it alive.

So today, I'm asking my community for help.

Some recognition feels different when you never expected it 🖤

Receiving this appreciation certificate from Miracle Babies Foundation genuinely means so much to me.

The work I do with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, babies and families has always come from a place of care, passion, and a deep commitment to community. A lot of this work happens quietly behind the scenes, without recognition, so moments like this feel really special.

I’m incredibly grateful to be acknowledged while doing something that means so much to my heart 🫶🏾

There is a moment in every career when you see the gap so clearly you cannot unsee it.

For me, it was years of sitting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in some of the most vulnerable stages of their lives pregnancy, new motherhood, healing and watching them reach for resources that were not there.

Not culturally. Not emotionally. Not in the way they truly needed.

The system was not going to fix that. External organisations were not going to fix that.

So I built something from the inside. The Awakening Journey is my answer to every gap I witnessed. Built with love, with lived experience, and with an unwavering commitment to our mob.
