Day 5 Connect

🤝 Connection matters.

Yesterday was R U OK? Day — a great reminder that checking in and staying connected can make a real difference to our wellbeing.

As part of Women’s Health Week, Day 5 focuses on To Connect — encouraging us to reach out, catch up, start a conversation or simply ask someone how they’re going.

✨ One small connection can have a lasting impact.

💚 WOMEN’S HEALTH WEEK | DAY 4: TO BREATHE 🌿

Take a moment.

Just stop, take a breath, and ask yourself…

“How am I really doing?”

Because as women, we can get very good at keeping all the plates spinning. Work, family, kids, partners, appointments, meals, messages… the list goes on. ❤️

And sometimes, somewhere along the way, we forget to check in with ourselves.

Today is also R U OK? Day — a beautiful reminder that a simple conversation can mean more than we realise.

So today, why not check in with yourself and someone you care about?

💚 “How are you really going?”
🌿 Take a few slow breaths
☀️ Step outside for a little fresh air
☕ Give yourself five minutes without needing to do anything
💬 And if someone says they’re not OK, take the time to listen.

You don’t need to have all the answers.
You don’t need to fix everything.

Sometimes, being there, listening and letting someone know they’re not alone is enough.

And if you’re the one who isn’t feeling OK, please remember that asking for help isn’t a weakness. It’s a really important part of looking after yourself. 💕

Today, take a breath. Check in. And be a little gentler with yourself.

😴 WOMEN’S HEALTH WEEK | DAY 3: TO REST 💚

Let’s be honest… when was the last time you actually rested? 👀

Not scrolling in bed.
Not answering emails.
Not catching up on the washing.
Not “resting” while thinking about your never-ending to-do list! 😂

✨ Rest is part of looking after your health.

Good quality sleep and recovery can support your:
💚 Energy
🧠 Mental wellbeing
💪 Physical recovery
🌸 Overall health

And with busy lives, stress, hormonal changes, work and caring responsibilities, getting enough rest isn’t always easy.

So this Women’s Health Week, “Do It Anyway” — give yourself permission to slow down.

🌙 Set a regular bedtime
📱 Put the phone down a little earlier
☕ Create a relaxing wind-down routine
🛋️ And remember… you don’t have to earn your rest!

What’s ONE small thing you can do tonight to help yourself rest? 💕

🌸 Women’s Health Week – Day 2: TO MOVE 🌸

This week’s theme is “Do It Anyway” — taking small steps to prioritise your health, even when life gets busy.

Here are Maya Khanna’s top tips:

“For me, movement is one of the most important parts of staying healthy, but I know it can become harder during different stages of life, especially with pain, fatigue or simply having a million other things to do!

A few of my favourite ways to move are:

🚶‍♀️ Walking – simple, free and great for both your physical and mental wellbeing.

💪 Lifting – you don’t need a gym! Strength exercises can be done at home with your bodyweight or everyday household items.

🌿 Getting outdoors – gardening, playing with the kids or simply getting outside. Moving in nature is great for both your body and your mind.

The most important thing is finding movement that works for you. It doesn’t have to be perfect — something is better than nothing. ❤️”

So, what movement are you going to “do anyway” this week?

— Maya 💕

The good news? Many women can benefit from early intervention, including specialised pelvic floor physiotherapy.

At Women's Health Matters, our experienced physiotherapists provide compassionate, evidence-based care for pelvic organ prolapse, bladder and bowel concerns, pregnancy and postnatal recovery, and pelvic floor dysfunction.

You don't have to put up with symptoms, and you don't have to navigate them alone.
