Perimenopause can be difficult to recognise because the changes do not always arrive in a clear or predictable way.
For some women, the first sign is a change in their cycle. For others, it may be temperature regulation, headaches, joint discomfort, vaginal dryness or a general sense that their body is responding differently than it used to.
These changes can also overlap with stress, thyroid concerns, iron deficiency, medication effects and other health factors, which is why it is not always helpful to assume that every symptom is hormonal.
What can be helpful is taking a step back and looking at the broader pattern. When did the changes begin? Are they becoming more frequent? Are they affecting your work, relationships, confidence or general quality of life?
A consultation can provide the space to look at those details properly, rather than treating each symptom in isolation.
If you have noticed changes that feel difficult to make sense of, you can book a consultation to explore what may be contributing and what support may be appropriate for you.
