A stroke can happen to anyone, at any time—and recognising the signs quickly can make all the difference.

This National Stroke Week, Herald Healthcare is proud to support the campaign to raise awareness, encourage early action, and empower our communities with life-saving knowledge.

Remember the F.A.S.T. warning signs:
🟠 Face – Has one side of the face drooped?
🟠 Arms – Can they lift both arms?
🟠 Speech – Is their speech slurred or difficult to understand?
🟠 Time – Call 000 immediately.

Every minute counts. The sooner a stroke is treated, the greater the chance of recovery.

🚨 Emergency Alert Test: What You Need to Know 🚨

At Herald Healthcare, we understand that unexpected alerts can be overwhelming, especially for people living with autism, intellectual disability, sensory sensitivities, anxiety, or other support needs.

That's why it's important to prepare, stay informed, and support one another during the upcoming Emergency Alert Test.

💙 Here are a few simple tips:
✔️ Talk about the alert before it happens.
✔️ Stay calm and reassuring during the test.
✔️ Count the 10 seconds together and remind your loved one that the sound will end.
✔️ If the alert may cause distress, consider switching devices off or to airplane mode before the scheduled test.
✔️ Share your plan with family members, support workers, schools, and carers so everyone responds consistently.

Preparation can make all the difference in helping people feel safe, confident, and supported.

If you have participants who may be affected, take a few minutes to discuss a plan before the test.
