in their own words health care professionals are "asking for to much"! no they're commenting on his challenges and strengths and what is going to help build his capacity and best support him in every day life. Months of advocating to sit on a 1 hour call that is already pre determined, our say means nothing. He has been doing so well in Behaviour therapy however they're now structuring it so its under behavioural supports and only certain professionals can access this funding (practioniers that bill at a higher rate mind you meaning less actual therapy support) despite advocating and saying his current therapist can't bill under this category and they will have to cancel his therapy.... they did not care.
just another rant.... all these funding cuts! they should be looking at what providers are allowed to charge which is actually set by the NDIS. recently my sons therapist was on leave and said she could provide a resource pack which I accepted. they still tried to charge for the session as if we where seeing the therapist in person at the exact same rate. whilst im the one implementing the work and strategies? but mind you this is allowed!!! they're reforming the wrong the wrong elements.
