A quick NDIS update for our participants, families and carers.
From 1 July, the new NDIS Pricing Arrangements come into effect. There are a few changes that are worth being aware of.
Counselling fees haven’t changed and remain at $156.16 per hour under Improved Daily Living, so if you’re already accessing counselling, nothing changes there.
Psychology fees have increased to $252.99 per hour. If psychology is one of your funded supports, your funding may not go quite as far, so it’s worth keeping an eye on your budget.
If your provider travels to see you, travel will now be billed as a separate item rather than being included in the appointment fee. If you’re unsure how this will affect your invoices, have a chat our Support Coordinator Alicia.
The cancellation policy has also changed. You’ll now need to provide at least two full business days’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.
Some providers are also now required to be registered with the NDIS Commission as part of ongoing changes to improve quality and participant safeguards.
Your current NDIS plan won’t automatically change because it’s a new pricing year. Your funding stays exactly the same until your next plan reassessment or review.
If you’re unsure how any of these changes might affect your supports or your funding, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help explain what it means for your individual plan and answer any questions you might have.
And if you’ve been thinking about accessing counselling through your NDIS funding but aren’t sure where to start, send us a message. We would be more than happy to help.
