Northern Beaches Para Surfer BC

NBPSB provides a platform for para surfers to engage, mentor, and empower others in surfing. NBPSBC aims to be where champion Para Surfers are nurtured.

Through services and activities, it fosters a sense of community, promotes inclusivity, and raises awareness throughout the wider communities. Para Surfing, also known as Adaptive Surfing, is a rapidly growing sport that provides individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to experience the thrill of riding a wave. Northern Beaches Para Surfer Boardriders Inc is envisioned as a non-profit organisation aimed at promoting & supporting para surfing activities. Northern Beaches Para Surfer Boardriders Inc aims to provide a platform dedicated for para surfers to engage and mentor others in the sport of surfing. Through its services & activities, the club aims to empower para surfers & create a positive impact on their lives by fostering a sense of community and to promote inclusivity by raising awareness in the wider community. This will then facilitate skill development & competitive opportunities for the para surfers. The NBPSB’s vision is to be a club that is fun & relaxed for those who may only wish to compete at club level. However, it will also provide an ideal pathway to National & International events and competitions. With the club's support, para surfers have the potential to build a strong competitive surfing career. All the while, making a serious impact on the surfers physical, mental, emotional & spiritual health. We are to be a serious part of their rehabilitation or therapy & in turn making a positive impact on their family, friends & other support crew who will also benefit.

August is almost here! We are back at Mona Vale for another epic monthly round with our family! Whether you’re chasing waves, volunteering, or soaking up the beachfront atmosphere, lock it in for a morning packed with , community, and good stoke. 💜🩵

📍 Where: Mona Vale Beach
⏰ When: Arrive from 8:00 AM for BBQ breaky (extra hands for 8 AM setup or afternoon pack down are always appreciated!)
🌊 Para Surfers Heat: Set around high tide—final call confirmed on the day via WhatsApp.

it was a Swell day on Sunday for early July round at Mona Vale Beach with Mona Vale Boardriders

Unfortunately the had to do a last-minute pivot due to trying conditions for even some of the strongest MVB locals.

Instead Brendon Slabz Onetwoone & Deni Deni Boyd tucked them in the the safety of Mona Basin and found some little runners to get their hit of 🙌🏼☺️

Next event at Mona will be the 2nd of August so please put it in your calendar 🗓️

Stay posted for info on our upcoming collab events in September and 10th October along with the monthly rounds at Mona on 6th Sep for Father’s Day classic & Sunday 11th October which will make for a double header weekend!! Yeeeww 🤘🏼🤙🏼

We’re calling on all female para surfers to join us at the Seas The Day event in Kingscliff 💙

Whether you’re chasing your first wave, getting back in the water, or already charging out the back - this is your chance to be part of an epic community of women doing incredible things in the ocean.

At NBPSB, we’re all about breaking barriers, building confidence and creating space for everyone in the lineup - and we’d love to see more women represented in para surfing.

For its fourth year running NRMA Insurance Seas The Day returns to the beautiful Kingscliff Beach, NSW, on Saturday and Sunday the 20th & 21st of June.

NRMA Insurance Seas the Day 2026 promises to be a vibrant, empowering, and uplifting experience for women of all abilities.

The festival space will be buzzing with entertainment and dynamic HUBS, where keynote speakers dive into everything from the ins and outs of successful careers, training regimes, film and photography, mental well-being, and much more.

Surf competition entries are now OPEN! Last year was the first Para Surfer Division. It was such a fun weekend, so grab a couple friends and enter your team! DM us or reach out to for more info.

Eyes in the Sky at Mona Vale! 🚁🌊

Safety for our events just got a major upgrade! We’re stoked to announce that NBPSB is now using drone technology for shark mitigation & water safety.

Our lead pilot (now to be named Goose🪿😉) is teaming up with (now Maverick🧑‍✈️) from to ensure our events are watched from dawn till dusk.

This initiative led by the Psillakis family is part of the NSW Government’s rollout of smarter shark-mitigation technology.

CEO & NBPSB club supporter local MP were at Mona Vale on Sunday for the launch of the project & have been instrumental in securing these “eyes in the sky” for our communities.

Having real-time aerial surveillance means our athletes and volunteers can focus 100% on the waves and their surfing at boardriders events, knowing we have the safest, smartest tech available patrolling overhead. You may even see them overhead in training missions outside of club event. The more time in the sky the better for beach goers as a whole!
