Safe Watch Care Safe Watch enhances the human component of care by connecting users with their trusted care world.

Caring for someone you love can be deeply meaningful, but it can also feel heavy when you are carrying it alone.

SafeWatch is built around the idea that wellbeing is stronger when it is shared. By building a trusted village around carers, families and loved ones, support can become more visible, more connected and easier to access when it is needed most. ✨

Because no carer should have to do it alone.

Throughout June, SafeWatch had the privilege of attending four Uniting Families & Carers events across NSW, meeting carers, families, support workers, service providers, and community members who generously shared their time, stories, and lived experiences with us.

A heartfelt thank you to Uniting for welcoming SafeWatch into these important spaces and for creating events that recognise the essential role carers play every day.

We are also deeply grateful to everyone who showed an amazing and keen interest in SafeWatch. These conversations continue to shape the way we think about care, connection, and the importance of surrounding carers with their own village of support.

Thank you as well to the SafeWatch team who helped make our presence across these events possible.

Building a trusted village for caregivers! At the Uniting Carers event in the Nepean Blue Mountains Region, we shared that a good village consists of people who know you, who can help you, and truly "get" you. SafeWatch is here to help share the load of care in our community. Together, we can make a difference! 🌟

Carers are human beings, not items to fit into tick-boxes.

When we talk about care, the focus is often placed almost entirely on the care receiver, but the reality is that care does not happen in isolation. Behind many people receiving care is a carer, a family, a support network, and a wider village doing the quiet, ongoing work of holding everything together.

If we want the people we care for to be open to receiving support, then we as carers also need permission to receive support ourselves. Care was never meant to be carried alone.

At SafeWatch, we believe the future of care needs to be less care receiver-centric and more village-centred, recognising that the wellbeing of the person receiving care is deeply connected to the wellbeing of the people around them.

We had an incredible time at the recent Uniting Family and Carers event, where our CEO, Shane Muller, had the honour of presenting SafeWatch and participating in a panel discussion about carers, community, and the importance of shared support.

Stay tuned for more updates and ways we can support the amazing work carers do.

SafeWatch was proud to attend the Uniting Carers Event in Western Sydney, supporting the important work Uniting is doing across our communities to strengthen families, carers and support networks. ✨

One of the powerful reflections from the day was that the journey from family member, friend or loved one into the role of “carer” does not happen overnight. It often unfolds gradually, through a transitional period of love, concern, responsibility and increasing support. This can also make it difficult for carers to seek help early, especially when they do not yet see themselves as a carer.

The Village Approach to Wellbeing was deeply evident throughout the event. For many carers, the work of caring can feel heavy and isolating, but with a safe, trusted village around them, the load can be shared, support can become more accessible, and space for renewal can begin to open.

A heartfelt thank you to Uniting for the incredible work you continue to do for carers, families and communities.

Men’s Health Week | 15th - 21st June 26

This Men’s Health Week, SafeWatch is encouraging more open conversations about wellbeing, connection, and early support.

Men’s health is not only about physical check-ups. It is also about mental wellbeing, feeling supported, and having trusted people around you when life becomes difficult.

SafeWatch helps strengthen the “village” around each person, making it easier to notice early warning signs, stay connected, and support people before challenges escalate.

Let’s use this week as a reminder to check in, listen without judgement, and make support easier to access.

SafeWatch was recently featured in The Horizon, sharing our vision for how technology can help strengthen human connection, not replace it.

In a world where so many people are silently carrying stress, being overwhelmed or concerned for someone they care about, SafeWatch helps bring support closer by connecting people to their trusted village. Wellbeing is not something we should have to navigate alone.

Check out the article and discover how SafeWatch is helping people stay connected, supported and seen.
