SEPTEMBER RECAP // we’re halfway through October and I’m finally getting around to posting it now. Life has been extremely chaotic juggling work and mum life with a one and three year old. I thought it would get easier but it’s actually getting harder 😭

Here are some of my happy moments from September:
Enjoying noodle, Vege and dumpling soup with Premium Chilli oil & pantry goods by Soka Pantry Co. chilli oil
Celebrating Father’s Day with family
Doing lots of cooking on Instant Pot™ ANZ Our Place
Spending quality time (or at least trying to) with the kids on my off days (lots of reading and cuddles)
Eating at my fav Japanese restaurant (first time having salmon poke bowl since having bub)
Squeezing in some me-time with Pilates

SOUTH COAST PART 2 // can’t believe it has taken me so long to post the second part but thought I’d get this out before our next road trip 🚗 🥲

If you’re in the Mollymook area, I would recommend the following places:
Bannisters Point Walking Track
The Bogey Hole (take swimmers)
Fish n chips- Mollymook Beach Hut Cafe
Cupitt’s Winery
Livvi’s Place (it has the best playground) 🛝
Marella Seafood on Mollymook beach
Warden Head Lighthouse
Lakeside Cafe & Restaurant (Burill Lake)

Don’t forget to check out the nearby towns - Burill Lake and Milton ✌️

RUNNING EMPTY // I really wish I was a morning person so I could show up better as a mum and have more energy to operate and entertain him properly. But I’ve never been a morning person and being sleep deprived for almost two years doesn’t help. He still wakes up at night for feeds which means I’m always tired in the mornings 🥱

I can’t believe I used to go to the gym when I was 2-6 months postpartum and I was back before he woke up. I’d usually go to a 7:15am class and was back around 8:30am. Doing something for myself first thing in the morning helped me fill my cup ☕️

But these days, he wakes up between 5:30-6:30am which doesn’t leave me any time to do anything before he wakes up. So I have two options
1) continue to operate the same way because I’m half dead and sleep deprived
2) try sleeping earlier and waking up before him at 5am? 😳

What would you do? Leave me your tips 🙏

NEW HOPE // I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like I get so lost in motherhood that I forget that I used to be someone who had big dreams. I forget to do things that were important to me in the past like taking care of myself and being on social media. I sometimes forget to post and don’t feel like posting at times because I’m too tired, overwhelmed or overstimulated.

I used to be a very different person before having kids. I was full of hope and optimism but I’ve lost that part of me. I feel like giving it up on most day and think what’s the point of trying?

Here’s to reminding myself to keep trying because if we stop trying, we have already lost 😣

Share with a mum who needs this reminder 💫

MINI RETREAT // throwback to this work retreat 😅 I find it so hard to switch off as a mum to a one year old and three year old who works part-time and runs a business. My brain is always running 100+ tabs and I feel overstimulated 95% of the time 🤣

This retreat gave me a chance to switch off for a few hours. It was so nice to sit in nature and reflect. Mindfulness in nature is so powerful 🙌

SOUP FOR ONE // I usually treat myself to Ubereats when I’m sick but the cost was coming out to be higher than usual (close to $30 for a small size) so I thought I’d have a go on at making my own since I had some ingredients at home 😅

Ingredients:
Carrot 🥕
Chinese cabbage 🥬
Enoki mushrooms 🍄‍🟫
Cornflour
Mingle Seasoning stock
Frozen dumplings 🥟
Premium Chilli oil & pantry goods by Soka Pantry Co. chilli oil 🌶️

I made it while bub was napping 😴 it came together so nicely. Highly recommend 🙌
