Earlier this month I revisited a place where I spent a great deal of time in a previous chapter of my life… but this time I was there as a visitor rather than an employee. Interesting how things look and feel so different when you return with a new perspective.
It’s hard not to feel nostalgic. I spent more than a decade living and breathing that world - I have fond memories of the glitz and glam of the CBD, waterfront views, team lunches, and the merry-go-round of corporate events.
Life looks very different these days.
In some ways, it feels easier to return to what’s familiar. It can feel much harder to walk the road less travelled - especially when you’re building something from nothing and stepping into the unknown.
But for the longest time I've been wanting to build a life that feels intentional and aligned with my values.
There’s been a lot of “long work” lately, and this season has felt particularly challenging as I continue to pivot towards this new path. But I keep coming back to my why and reminding myself of this quote:
