Bed wetting is common in children with disability. It is called nocturnal enuresis. You see two distinct patterns.

• A child once stayed dry overnight then starts wetting again. This often links to stress, pain, constipation, sleep disturbance or a change in medical needs.
• A child has never stayed dry overnight. This often links to delayed bladder maturity, developmental conditions or reduced night time arousal.
