There is beauty in the space between the sounds.

When I play my singing bowls, I am never in a hurry. I let each note linger, soften and fade before inviting the next one. In those moments of stillness, the bowls begin to respond to one another, creating a conversation that can only be heard when we slow down enough to listen.

Today, I was wrapped in the poncho my mum made for me. It felt like she was there in the quiet too—a gentle reminder that love can continue to resonate long after someone is gone.

Perhaps this is your invitation to pause for 30 seconds today. To listen, not just to the sounds around you, but to the silence between them.

This month I’m exploring relationships.

Not just the relationships we have with other people, but the one we have with ourselves.

Yoga has taught me that self-kindness isn’t something we earn. It grows each time we pause, listen to our bodies, and respond with compassion instead of criticism.

If you’re curious about mindful living, gentle movement, and the small practices that help us reconnect with ourselves, I’d love to welcome you to my free Substack. That’s where I share longer reflections like this.

The ocean has been breathing long before any of us arrived.

The waves roll in. The waves roll out. A constant rhythm of receiving and releasing.

When life feels busy, I sometimes borrow that rhythm. A slow breath in through the nose. A gentle pause. A long sigh out.

The sea reminds me that not every moment needs action or achievement. Sometimes the most important thing we can do is return to our breath and allow ourselves to be fully here.

What happens when you take one conscious breath today?
