Last night at Bored Gamers, we got stuck into the game Forest Shuffle! One of the young people who attends the group regularly brought this game for us to play and it was really lovely. The aim of the game is to build the biggest and fullest forrest, filled with plenty of trees, animals and other assorted bigs, critters, mushrooms and shrubs. Highly recommend this game be added to any game night.
If you are a young person aged 12-24 and you like to play board games, please come along and play with us! We are on every second Wednesday from 3.30pm-5pm.

headspace Bankstown is excited to share that we will be hosting an Art Auction for Mental Health Month!
The theme for the art auction is a little connection goes a long way and we task you with the artistic challenge of showcasing what connection means to you within your community. Connection can look like family, culture, faith, creativity, nature, friendships, online communities, or even quiet time alone. Your artwork can reflect any interpretation of the theme that feels meaningful to you.

What an incredible two days at the Q***r Career Expo held at Ashfield Town Hall on 12–13 June. Our team had the absolute pleasure of being part of an amazing, well organised and special careers expo. There were 560 people came through on day one and 473 people on day two. A massive 61 exhibitors showed up for the LGBTQIA+ community, bringing good conversations, good vibes and real job opportunities to show they are truly inclusive.

A huge thank you to the amazing organisers for pulling together such a powerful event, and an extra‑special shout‑out to Roxie from headspace Ashfield for her energy, coordination and heart. She personally vetted all the stall holders so ensure that everyone who attended were dedicated and safe for the LGBTQIA+ community. We are so grateful to be part of this work and this community.

Can’t wait for the next year!

We’re grateful to have been part of such a meaningful day honouring First Nations culture, strength, and community.

Recently, the staff and Youth Reference Group members of headspace Bankstown had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2026 headspace Forum, a three‑day event bringing together passionate young people, staff, and partners from across Australia.

Across the forum, we were inspired by the amazing work happening nationwide to support youth mental health. It was truly heartwarming to witness young people take the stage — sharing their experiences, insights, and hopes for the future. Some even performed, bringing so much joy and energy to the room with acts that kept us entertained and connected.

We left feeling motivated, grateful, and excited to bring new ideas back to our community.
