Living with a chronic health condition can be a really isolating and lonely experience. As can recovering from a serious illness or operation.

But you don’t have to do this alone. 🌿

I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be running monthly online Community Connection Sessions, starting on 1 October at 12pm (Sydney time).

They’ll be gentle, wellbeing focused group sessions to help you find a kinder approach to self-care and healing. We’ll include guided individual journalling and a supportive group discussion exploring a different theme each month: from rest and pacing to boundaries and everyday joy.

A small, facilitated group, a positive space, with people who understand.

The timing is designed for anyone in Australia, New Zealand, E/SE Asia and North America to join.

The sessions sit within Suzy Bolt’s online programme, Rest Repair Recover. You can book single sessions: or they’re included if you’re already a live member of RRR.

Full details and booking via the link in my bio and in the pinned comment below.🌿

Please share this with anyone who you think might benefit from support like this. And if the timing or format doesn’t suit you, do please contact me for personalised support.💛💚

Exciting news: I’m kicking off a new collaboration with Vision PT Lane Cove 💫

Stage one: today’s coaching workshop with Miguel, Kathleen and the fantastic team of personal trainers. Going deeper into conversations with clients, helping them develop their own reasons for change and find their own solutions.

It’s the same approach I bring to all my coaching. Not willpower, not a ‘perfect programme’, but really understanding someone’s values, motivations and what actually works in their daily lives.

There was great engagement, lots of practice in break-out groups and plenty of ‘a-ha’ moments.

Watch this space for details of the health and wellness talks I’m delivering there in the coming months!

One of the most rewarding parts of what I do is watching someone move from feeling drained and stuck to feeling like themselves again.

Here's what Jo M. shared about her experience:

"I started the coaching process feeling uncertain, demotivated, and with little clarity about my next steps. I was experiencing very low energy and felt stuck, making it difficult to see a positive path forward.

Kate listened and gave me a supportive space to reflect on what would be of greatest benefit to me. Her thoughtful questioning helped me break down overwhelming things into manageable, achievable steps.

Even after the first session, I noticed a positive shift in my motivation and energy levels. Over time, I moved from feeling drained and overwhelmed to feeling energised, motivated, and optimistic about my future.

I've regained a sense of direction and feel positive about the path I'm on."

If any of this sounds familiar, I'd love to chat.

Small, consistent steps lead to real change. More ease. More energy. More joy. 🌟

Today I had a restorative infrared sauna and finally tried my first floatation tank 🌿

This combination is powerful on so many levels: relaxing the nervous system, eliminating toxins, boosting mitochondria energy and clearing the mind, just to name a few.

Both are highly recommended if you’re struggling with stress, overwhelm or burnout. If you feel “on” all the time!

This kind of sensory rest can be powerful. It’s not about doing more to heal. Sometimes it’s about deliberately removing the constant stimuli of daily life and doing less.

They can also be incredibly helpful if you have a chronic condition like ME/CFS, Long Covid, POTS or debilitating headaches or migraines. But as with all treatments, make sure you start very slowly, so that you don’t overwhelm an already overloaded system. Lower the sauna temperature and carefully limit your time. And as with any new activities, introduce them one at a time, book-ended with rest. 😌

How do you like to relax your mind and body?

Small, consistent steps lead to real change. More ease. More energy. More joy. 🌟

Are you exhausted, stressed or overwhelmed?

Do you find yourself running on empty, relying on caffeine, sugar or willpower just to get through the day? Are you snapping at people, or losing your words mid-sentence because your mind feels so foggy?

If that sounds familiar, your nervous system is stuck in overdrive. And no, you don’t need another social media 8 point plan that promises to change your life overnight.

You need a holistic, personalised approach: nervous system regulation, nutrition that genuinely nourishes you and mindset shifts that are sustainable and built around your own life, not a generic template.

Imagine waking up with energy instead of exhaustion or dread. Thinking clearly instead of wading through fog. Feeling grounded instead of one step from snapping.

Small, consistent steps lead to real change. More ease. More energy. More joy. 🌟

Having a chronic condition like Long Covid or ME/CFS isn’t just physical.

It’s the grief of a life that’s changed. The exhaustion of unpredictability and needing to constantly adjust. And often, the loneliness of not being understood.

This is why I do this work. Ensuring clients feel truly heard and understood is often what allows them to begin moving forward.

Small, consistent steps lead to real change. More ease. More energy. More joy.

Do you sometimes feel like your body is stuck in stress mode: even when nothing’s wrong? Would you like a few simple, science-backed tools help you feel calmer and more in control? 🌿

A little while back I had the pleasure of speaking at the International Yoga Day Health & Wellness event in Lane Cove, where I shared my talk “Stress Less, Live Better.”

We explored what’s really happening in the nervous system when we’re under chronic stress and, more importantly, simple, practical techniques to help regulate it in the moment. From breathwork to movement to the small daily choices that build real resilience.

We also looked at how to make these habits actually stick, so they don’t just remain as good intentions!

The panel conversation went further still, digging into the impact of technology and AI on our health and wellbeing. In a world of constant stimulation, I shared how simplifying is often where real change begins. By focusing on the foundations, we’re have the greatest impact on our health: rather than following the latest wellness fads.

What struck me most was how many people recognised the signs of a dysregulated nervous system for the first time. That “Now I understand what’s happening - and what I can do about it” moment is exactly why I love this work.

If any of this resonates and you’d like to explore what nervous system regulation could look like for you, I’d love to chat. Feel free to reach out or send me a DM.

And I’d love to hear: what’s one thing you do when stress starts to build? 👇

Small, consistent steps can lead to real change. More ease. More energy. More joy. 😊

Dance is one of the few activities that benefits our mind, strengthens our body and simply brings us joy. 💃

A new BBC piece on the five-minute dance break makes the case for something I passionately believe: you don’t need an hour at the gym to shift your state. A short burst of movement - any movement, but dance especially - can help discharge stress hormones, bring you out of your head and back into your body, and interrupt the loop of overwhelm before it takes hold. ✨

For anyone living with a dysregulated nervous system - that can’t switch off, fight or flight feeling 😮‍💨 that’s not a small thing. It’s giving your body a quick, enjoyable way to shift out of stress mode and back to a calm state where you can actually think clearly.

So here’s my invitation. Next time you’re between Zoom meetings or the to-do list feels like too much, put on one song you love. Move however you want. And notice how different you feel afterwards.😊

Comment below to tell me your favourite feel good song! And you can read the full piece here: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20260717-the-surprising-benefits-of-a-five-minute-dance-break

This is a powerful reminder that self-care doesn’t have to be put off until we complete the next project, are on holiday or can magically conjure up more free time. Small consistent changes can lead to big results.
