We’ve created this short visual update to clearly outline what’s happened with winter swimming access in Tamworth — and why our community is facing a gap in 2026.
For years, winter access relied on private support. With that facility now closed, and construction of the new aquatic centre yet to begin, Tamworth is set to have **no accessible heated winter swimming option** — impacting hundreds of local swimmers, families, rehab users, and community members.
This isn’t just about sport. Winter aquatic access supports:
