Meet Brendan! 🌊🏄🏽‍♂️☀️

Born and raised on the Central Coast, Brendan has been working as a Support Coordinator for the past 3.5 years, providing Level 2 & 3 Support Coordination as well as Psychosocial Recovery Coaching.

One of Brendan’s favourite parts of his role is problem-solving and getting to work closely with people - helping them navigate barriers, find solutions and work towards goals that are meaningful to them.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Brendan surfing, travelling, hiking, cooking, reading or out walking his one-eyed dog!

And a few fun facts…
Brendan can juggle, he’s currently attempting to master a handstand, and his favourite movie is Surf’s Up…which honestly feels very on brand.

Another amazing example of tailored support from Jacob👏🤍

Knowing Julian’s interest in Yowies, Jacob took a creative approach…Turning up to shift in a Yowie mask and bringing Julian’s interests directly into his learning!! 👣🌿

By incorporating something Julian genuinely enjoys, Jacob was able to encourage reading in a way that felt fun, engaging and meaningful to him.

This is what person-centred support can look like. Adapting the approach to suit the individual, using their interests to encourage participation, build confidence and make learning something they actually want to be part of.

Because sometimes thinking outside the box means thinking like a Yowie! 😂🤍
