Meet Cheryl

Behind every great patient experience is someone asking one simple question:

Before co-founding Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic, Cheryl built her career in digital health and healthcare innovation, helping healthcare providers improve the way patients access care, communicate with their clinicians, and navigate their healthcare journey.

Today, as Clinic Director, she brings that same philosophy to DDDBC.

From online bookings and coordinated appointments to timely communication, seamless referral pathways and personalised patient support, Cheryl has helped design a clinic where every step of the patient journey has been carefully considered.

She believes exceptional healthcare isn't just about clinical expertise—it's also about making patients feel informed, supported and cared for from their very first phone call.

Working alongside our experienced Breast Clinicians and under the specialist guidance of Dr Peter O'Donohue, Cheryl is passionate about creating a breast assessment service that is accessible, coordinated and centred around the needs of every patient.

Your results deserve time.

Waiting for breast imaging or biopsy results can be one of the most challenging parts of your breast health journey. While we understand the desire for answers as quickly as possible, we also believe those answers should be complete, carefully reviewed and clearly explained.

At Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic, your results are never considered in isolation.

Whether you've had a mammogram, breast ultrasound or breast biopsy, your Breast Clinician carefully reviews your clinical assessment alongside your imaging, previous breast imaging and reports, and pathology where applicable. Looking at the complete picture helps ensure every finding is interpreted accurately and in the context of your individual breast health.

Rather than discussing results as soon as they're available, we generally schedule your follow-up appointment around one week after your diagnostic tests. This allows time for imaging and pathology reports to be finalised, any additional review to be completed where required, and your clinician to prepare a comprehensive explanation of your results and personalised recommendations. We don't rush what matters most.

Your results appointment is dedicated to helping you understand what your results mean, answering your questions, and discussing the next steps, whether that's reassurance, ongoing surveillance, further investigation or referral for specialist care.

For added convenience, results appointments can often be conducted via telehealth, allowing you to receive expert advice from the comfort of your home where appropriate.

If a significant finding is identified earlier, we won't wait. Our team will coordinate your care promptly and, where specialist treatment is required, facilitate timely referral to Darling Downs Surgical Oncology (DDSO), helping ensure you receive the care you need without unnecessary delay.

With more than a decade of experience in healthcare administration, Tracy is often the first friendly voice you'll speak with at Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic.

As our Patient Care Coordinator, Tracy plays an important role in ensuring every patient's journey is as smooth and supported as possible. From arranging appointments and coordinating diagnostic imaging to helping organise biopsies and follow-up care, she works closely with our clinical team to keep your care moving seamlessly.

Tracy understands that breast concerns can be worrying. Whether you've noticed a change, are waiting for answers, or simply aren't sure what to do next, she's here to provide reassurance, answer your questions, and help guide you through the process with warmth, compassion and care.

Known for her exceptional organisation, attention to detail and genuine commitment to patient care, Tracy is passionate about making every patient feel welcomed, informed and supported from their very first contact with DDDBC.

To be recognised alongside so many outstanding local businesses is a privilege, particularly after what has been an exciting first year of building two healthcare services dedicated to improving access to specialist breast and melanoma care across our region.

Meet Dr Neera Logitharan

We're delighted to introduce Dr Neera Logitharan, one of the experienced Breast Clinicians at Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic.

Dr Neera brings a compassionate, holistic approach to patient care, recognising that every person's breast health journey is unique. She is passionate about taking the time to listen, answer questions and ensure every patient feels informed, supported and reassured throughout their assessment.

After graduating from medical school in Sri Lanka, Dr Neera completed her internship at Northern Hospital in Victoria before working at Toowoomba Hospital and moving into General Practice.

As an Associate Member of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians, Dr Neera is currently undertaking further training towards Breast Physician Fellowship, continuing to expand her expertise in breast health.

Outside the clinic, Dr Neera enjoys spending time with her family, exploring arts and crafts, supporting her children's education and sharing her love of traditional Sri Lankan cooking.

We're proud to have Dr Neera as part of the DDDBC team and look forward to introducing her to our community.

At Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic, we're proud to have an experienced team dedicated to supporting patients through every stage of their breast health journey. Today, we'd like to introduce Dr Ciara Dodds.

Dr Ciara completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 2014, where she grew up. She went on to complete the Diploma of Child Health through the University of Sydney in 2017 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2020. She has always had a special interest in women's health and became an Associate Member of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians in 2024 when she began practising breast medicine.

Dr Ciara knows that even a small breast concern can cause significant worry and that attending a breast clinic can feel overwhelming. She aims to create a welcoming and relaxed environment where patients feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. By taking the time to understand each person's concerns and explaining findings and next steps in a clear and reassuring way, she hopes to make what can be a stressful experience feel a little less daunting.

Dr Ciara looks forward to welcoming you to the clinic and providing compassionate care throughout your appointment.

We're excited to introduce the experienced clinicians who make up the Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic team.

Each of our doctors brings a genuine passion for breast health, working collaboratively to provide timely assessment, compassionate care and evidence-based management for patients across the Darling Downs.

Today, we'd like to introduce Dr Anna Mowry.

Dr Mowry completed her Doctor of Medicine at Griffith University in 2018 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2025.

She has worked in breast medicine since 2025 across both specialist private practice and the public hospital system. In addition to working at the Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic, she also currently holds a position as a GP with a Special Interest in Breast Surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Comprehensive Diagnostic Breast Clinic.

Dr Mowry is passionate about providing thoughtful, compassionate care and understands that experiencing breast symptoms can be an anxious and uncertain time. She takes the time to listen, answer questions, and ensure her patients feel informed, supported, and comfortable throughout their care. Her focus is on delivering thorough, evidence-based assessment while helping each patient feel heard and reassured every step of the way.
