This National Reconciliation Week, we reflect on the 2026 theme: ALL IN FOR RECONCILIATION ⚫️🟡🔴
A reminder to us that reconciliation is not something we watch from the sidelines, but something we each actively participate in every day.
At Surf Coast Mind Body Health, we recognise the importance of culturally safe, respectful and inclusive spaces. As mental health professionals, we also recognise that healing and connection require honesty, including the willingness to listen to and validate histories and experiences that may feel uncomfortable, confronting or difficult.
Psychology reminds us that growth often begins with acknowledging truth, creating safety for difficult conversations, and remaining open to learning. Reconciliation asks the same of all of us.
This national reconciliation week especially, we honour the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and remain committed to continuing to learn, reflect and grow together.
Always Was, Always Will Be.
