One of the areas I’m passionate about is supporting the connection between parents and their children. As a trained Circle of Security Parenting Program Facilitator, I love sharing the principles of this evidence based approach. While they’re designed for parenting, they can positively influence so many of the relationships in our lives.

Today at 2:00 pm (AEST), Australia will be testing the new AusAlert emergency warning system.

Most mobile phones, smart watches and some tablets will suddenly make a loud siren sound and vibrate for around 10 seconds, even if they’re on silent. It will clearly say TEST MESSAGE on the screen. (NEMA⁠)

For some little ones, especially those who are sensitive to loud or unexpected sounds, this could feel quite frightening.

If you can, let them know beforehand ☺️
