And two of those families had came back for their second birth under my care. That feeling is one I struggle to speak out loud without feeling a bit wobbly.

I already have my first family booked for January 2027.
I don’t take that lightly. I never have. Not for a single family, not for a single birth.

To every family who has let me be part of this season of their life, thank you. It’s the greatest privilege of my career.

And if you’re watching this and wondering if this kind of care is for you, I’d love to just have a conversation, it starts here and you choose your next steps feeling informed 🤎

Some acts of kindness are so quiet, but they leave the biggest impact.

This is one of them.

A beautiful mum has chosen to share the colostrum she expressed for what she knows will be her last baby. There is something incredibly bittersweet about that.

Another mum dropped in and donated enough expressed milk to support another mum in need.

Whenever we put a call out to our community, I’m always amazed by what happens next.

Within minutes, another mother says, “I’ve got some.”

No hesitation. No expectation. Just generosity.

One mum recognising another mum’s need, and a baby receiving the goodness they need because someone chose to share.

This is what community looks like.

Thank you to the mothers who continue to remind us that kindness is one of the greatest gifts we can give each other. 🤍

Continuity of care is often described as a preference-based model, but in practice it is structural.

In fragmented systems, information is transferred between providers, but responsibility can become diluted. Each clinician assesses a portion of the pregnancy, and clinical reasoning is frequently reset at each encounter. This does not mean care is unsafe, but it does increase the likelihood that nuance is missed.

In a continuity model, assessment builds over time. Subtle shifts in symptoms, blood results, emotional wellbeing, or recovery patterns are interpreted against a known baseline. Decisions are layered rather than compressed into single appointments.

When pregnancies involve complexity (previous surgery, trauma, VBAC planning, rural access barriers, or collaboration with maternal fetal medicine) fragmentation increases cognitive load for the woman. Continuity reduces that load by ensuring discussions are coordinated and escalation is deliberate.

And while this might sound very clinical (because it is), what it often feels like to women is simple: they feel known 🤍

Continuity is not simply relational. It is clinical design.

If you are exploring private midwifery care and want to understand how continuity functions within an integrated model, you are welcome to begin that conversation early.
