🤎 One thing you'll always find at a Snowy Sprouts playgroup, workshop or event... a mud kitchen!

It might look simple, but a mud kitchen is one of the richest invitations to play.

With a little water, local natural treasures, a few bowls and spoons, children become chefs, scientists, potion makers, bakers and storytellers. They experiment, communicate, problem-solve, measure, imagine, create and collaborate - all through play.

One of my favourite things is that our mud kitchens are never the same. They change with the seasons, our location and whatever little treasures I've found at the op shop or out in nature. Every setup invites a new adventure.

The best part? You don't need an elaborate mud kitchen to create this kind of magic. A couple of milk crates, an old timber shelf, some recycled kitchen utensils and a little imagination are all it takes.

Sometimes the simplest play creates the biggest learning. 🌿💚

Our very first Snowy Sprouts playgroup at Marrambidya Wetlands for Term 3 was such a beautiful morning. 🌿

We explored nature art, sensory and water play, hand tools, storytelling, songs, and plenty of child-led outdoor play.

We're now running fortnightly Nature Play sessions in Wagga throughout Term 3, and we'd love to welcome you.

And that's a wrap on our Winter Holiday Nature Adventure Days! 🌿❄️

Yesterday's adventure at The Junction started with a frosty morning before the sun came out to warm us for a beautiful day outdoors.

We gathered around the campfire, welcomed new faces, chopped wood, painted, created dream catchers and spent the day exploring, imagining and learning together.

A huge shout out to Steph, who facilitated alongside me this week. She shares the Snowy Sprouts philosophy so beautifully, encouraging children to learn new skills, build confidence, embrace risk and let their imaginations lead. She's also an incredibly talented creative, and we're so lucky to have her.

I'm so proud of every child who stepped outside their comfort zone, tried something new and discovered just how capable they are. Those moments are what Snowy Sprouts is all about. 💚

Thank you to all the families who joined us these holidays. Bring on Term 3 – we can't wait for more adventures together! 🌱

Nature Adventure Day 1 ✨🌿

Today was filled with campfire magic, warm hot chocolates, whittling and sawing, scavenger hunts, exploring, creating and endless imaginative play.
There’s something special about slowing down in nature, learning new skills and watching little adventures unfold.
