A sunny winter's day, a crackling campfire, and good company. ☀️🔥

On Friday, we gathered together to forage for the perfect damper sticks, rolled out our damper dough, and patiently cooked it over the fire. Once golden and ready, we drizzled it with honey and enjoyed a well-earned campfire treat while sitting in the sunshine with friends.

The adventure didn't stop there. Hours were spent running through the park, playing hide and seek, searching for mushrooms, and creating all sorts of magical concoctions in the mud kitchen.

Simple moments. Real play. Connection. Adventure.

This is what it's all about. 🌿

Looking for something a little different these winter school holidays?

Join Snowy Sprouts for two exciting Nature Adventure Days at The Junction, Tumut, where children can spend the day exploring, building, creating and discovering in the great outdoors.

Possible adventures include:
🪵 Shelter and cubby building
🔥 Fire striking and campfire experiences
🛠️ Safe hand tool use
🍂 Nature art and craft
🔍 Scavenger hunts and bush exploration
🫧 Sensory and messy play
📚 Storytelling and nature connection activities

At Snowy Sprouts, we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, appropriate risk-taking and meaningful connection with nature. These workshops are designed to foster confidence, creativity, resilience and a sense of adventure.

🌿 WAGGA, WE'RE COMING! 🌿

After so many enquiries from local families, I'm thrilled to be bringing Snowy Sprouts Nature Playgroup to Marrambidya Wetlands for a special nature play session.

🍃 Welcome to the Wetlands
📅 Wednesday 17 June
⏰ 10:00am – 12:00pm

Join us for a morning of exploring, creating, building, discovering and connecting in nature. Expect muddy potions, loose parts play, nature crafts, stories, songs and plenty of opportunities for children to follow their curiosity.

I know Mondays may suit some families better, so I'll be trialling a Monday session next month.

I have been so excited to bring Snowy Sprouts to the Wagga community and I can't wait to meet you all!

📚🌿 Did you know that each week at Snowy Sprouts, our story time books are carefully selected to match our nature theme?

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Tumut Library, help us source engaging, age-appropriate books for our playgroup sessions. Their support allows us to introduce children to beautiful stories that spark curiosity, imagination, and a deeper connection to the natural world.

We love showcasing the incredible range of books available through our local library and encouraging families to make use of this fantastic community resource. From stories about insects and birds to fairies, gardens, and changing seasons, there's always something new to discover.

Supporting local libraries means supporting literacy, learning, and community and we're so grateful to have such a wonderful partnership.

So excited to be offering nature-play and childcare options for the Hume and Hovell Ultra! Families, if this is something you'd love to be apart of you don't have to worry about the kids... we've got it covered! 🌿✨️

We've been working on policies and event logistics that enable more women and families to get out on trails, and we're really stoked to be offering free childcare for event participants this year by partnering with our friends and fellow educators at Snowy Sprouts Nature School. 🙌

The finer details and booking will be available soon, but this service will be offered at Henry Angel race hub on Saturday from 8 am - 12 pm. Our hope is that this lets both parents or solo parents race while the kids get to play, explore and have fun!

Celebrate 25+ years of the Landcare Nursery with RHLN on 31st May, 12:00–2:00pm at 5 Gocup Road, Tumut.
