Today is one of those incredibly proud mum moments 💞
My 7-year-old daughter ran 2km in her school cross country!
She’s always been more of a creative spirit and hasn’t shown much interest in sport, and that’s something I’ve completely supported. I’ll always encourage her to try things, but never push her into something she doesn’t enjoy.
Today, she had the option to do a fun run, but decided to join her friends in the full race. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous for her, she’s never really run before. But I reminded her that we’d be proud no matter what, whether she came first or last.
And wow… she truly surprised me. She ran the entire race and stayed strong the whole way. I couldn’t be prouder 🥹
Always and forever a proud mumma 🥰

It’s never too late to learn a new exercise! My Sarcopenia group starting to learn a deadlift which is a fundamental exercise for maintaining functional independence (being able to reach the ground), improving bone density to prevent osteoporosis, and strengthening the posterior chain (back, glutes, hamstrings) to improve posture and reduce injury risk

In the Allied Health space, there’s a constant pull toward the “new” and the “fancy.”

☑️ It looks impressive
☑️ It’s trending on social media
☑️ We worry clients will get bored

But here’s the reality:

Results don’t come from novelty.
They come from consistency.

Progress is built on well-executed, repeatable fundamentals…applied with intent.

Our role as health professionals isn’t to entertain.
It’s to educate.

When clients understand the “why” behind what they’re doing, compliance improves and outcomes follow.

🌟 Keep it simple.
🌟 Keep it purposeful.
🌟 Master the basics.
