I look at my entire life in the mirror every morning.

Most days, I don't want to meditate or exercise, but these reminders push me to have discipline and keep growing. 💯🙏

Hi, I'd really appreciate it if you would share or donate to this GoFundMe,

Evie is now a 22 year old woman living in Brisbane and she lost her left … Chris Seipel needs your support for Let's help Evie get her new prosthetic leg.

I worked as a teacher for 16 years and loved helping and teaching. It was something that really fulfilled me and made me happy. This began to change as the school I worked for which was originally a community that cared about the boys evolved into a money making enterprise.

I took two years off because of my own mental health issues and decided in that time I would never return to teach as I had lost all faith in the education system, but I still wanted to help people.

I looked into and began as a support worker for the NDIS which is tax payer funded and is designed to help individuals with varied disabilities to live their best lives.

I began helping a young woman named Evie who had lost her leg in 2017 from the knee down and required a prosthetic. I drive her to the physio, psychology appointments and to work when she isn't in pain. As we got to know each other I asked her about her leg as she didn't seem to be walking like she should. She said that the prosthetic provider that the NDIS paid to do the work produced a very poor leg for her. She has (on her own) been back and forth with this company for 2 years and they are unwilling to help even though they have provided her with a terrible fitting leg which is causing her much pain and mental stress.

Evie sought another provider Leading Edge Prosthetics and they agreed that the socket was very poor and the majority of the weight was in the ankle and foot which will cause huge issues for her knee. They want to help but it is expensive.

The thing that drew me to Evie is despite her pain she never complains or has an ounce of self pity. She has no family help and it was time someone stepped in and helped a young girl get the help the NDIS funded.

I hate seeing her physical and mental health decline. Something needs to be
done ASAP so myself and my friend Ana will be starting a Go Fund Me page for her.

Please watch this space as we want her in a new prosthetic and also endeavour to get a refund from the original provider and have it returned to the NDIS. The NDIS see that there job has been done which is true but they have been no help for Evie in this process.

Please share with friends the GFM page. Every little bit helps and anyone wishing to see the new quotes or photos of how poorly fitted this prosthetic is are free to contact me.

I am a strong advocate for mental health and this issue although physical is causing a lot of mental stress. The trauma of an amputation at the age of 17 followed by no help is something that I can't stand by and watch.
