Book your 2021 Flu shots now. Walk- ins welcome! It is recommended you receive your flu shot at the beginning of the flu season (April/May) and more importantly a 2 week gap between a flu shot and a COVID-19 vaccination is advised.

The flu vaccine can help to protect you and your loved ones from infection caused by the influenza virus. The more people who are vaccinated in the community, the less likely it is for the disease to spread. This is called ‘herd immunity’. Because the strains of flu virus constantly change every year, the vaccine composition is reviewed and updated as needed, based on the most common circulating strains, and how effective the previous season’s vaccine was in protecting against those viruses.
The Australian Government recommends everyone over the age of 6 months old get a flu vaccination, so almost everyone should get it. The flu can affect people of all ages, however it’s particularly important for a number of people who are at higher risk than others:

Babies
People over 65 years
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander origin adults over 15 years
Pregnant women
People with weakened immune systems or chronic health conditions
People who are obese
People who smoke
People who haven’t been vaccinated against the flu

There is no live virus in the flu vaccine, so you cannot get the flu from the flu vaccine
The composition of the flu vaccine changes every year to keep up with the constantly changing flu virus. We are offering the quadrivalent flu vaccine, which protects against four of the most common strains
The flu vaccine is safe for pregnant women at all stages of their pregnancy

Life gets busy. So, we offer a service to remind you about your next prescription repeat when it is due.

Simply register at the pharmacy, email or call and let us know your mobile phone number. An SMS text message will be sent to your nominated number when your next repeat is due, informing you of how many repeats are left on your prescription and if you are due to get a new prescription from your doctor.

You can leave your paper prescription repeats on file at the pharmacy, so we can dispense and prepare the prescription ready for you when you have replied to our text message - Making managing your prescriptions quick, easy and convenient.

This will ensure you are never caught out as you will be notified prior to your next scheduled repeat date, allowing you peace of mind.

Product of the month: Walking stick with a unique adjustable double handle with in built torch!

Portable sit-to-stand device that doubles as a walking stick.
Provides leverage for the user to rise and sit down safely.
Helps assist people with hip or knee arthritis, recovery from hip or knee replacement surgery, low back pain and lower extremity weakness.

Seaforth Pharmacy is an NSW registered oxygen depot where we provide an exchange service for registered oxygen users. You can bring in your empty oxygen cylinder and we will exchange it for a full oxygen cylinder (of the same size) for a nominal fee of $21.00.

A further subsidy is granted to Enable NSW registered patients who present their Enable NSW membership card at the time of exchange. The fee is reduced to $8.00 per oxygen cylinder.

We also stock an array of accessories such as nasal canulas and oxygen tubing. If you cannot see the product you require, please contact us to request a product.
