We often plan therapy assuming there will be a next appointment..

But what if there isn't?

Whether it's because life gets busy, priorities change or a client simply doesn't return, we don't always get the opportunity for "next time".

That's one of the ideas that first drew me to Single Session Therapy. Not because every client only needs one session, but because it challenges us to ask a different question:

"If this was our only session together, what would be most valuable for this person today?"

It's a simple shift in thinking that can change the way we approach every interaction, regardless of how many sessions follow.

If this perspective resonates with you, I'd love for you to join us in the Single Session Club, where we'll explore the principles and practical application of Single Session Therapy together.

Did you know play is a key part of occupational therapy with children and young people? The term occupation in our title is about how we spend our time and you can't argue that we all need more time to play in our lives!

Through play, children develop essential skills like problem-solving, social interaction, and emotional regulation. OT makes skill development fun and engaging for children and young people of all ages. Do you play? Children and teens love it when adults play.

Did you know occupational therapy can help children with sensory processing challenges?

Sensory processing challenges can affect how a child experiences and responds to the world around them. Everyday activities like getting dressed, brushing teeth, sitting in class, or joining in at the playground can feel overwhelming, uncomfortable, or even exhausting.

An Occupational Therapist (OT) can help by:

✔️ Understanding your child's unique sensory profile
✔️ Identifying triggers and situations that are challenging
✔️ Developing practical strategies to support regulation and participation
✔️ Adapting environments, routines, and activities to better meet your child's needs
✔️ Supporting families, educators, and caregivers to create consistent approaches across home, school, and community settings

The goal isn't to change who your child is. It's to help them feel more comfortable, confident, and able to participate in the activities that matter to them.

Every child experiences the world differently. With the right support, sensory differences don't have to be a barrier to learning, playing, and thriving.
