I honestly wasn't sure i had done enough advertising for our Yamba classes starting today, but i was so happy when I had 5 new little faces walk through the door 😁❤️

July update for Magical Yoga for kids....

🧘‍♂️Our FRIDAY morning classes in Maclean have been going great. I've seen new faces every week which makes me so happy 😊

We start with a welcome circle where everyone introduces themselves if they feel comfortable. Then we get into making up yoga poses for things they like, we dance and play games.
Then we have our yoga resting time where everyone lays down, gets a blanket and a sticker with some calming music.
We then keep the space open for everyone to do some craft activities and leave when they like.

🧘‍♀️We also held 2 School Holiday Workshops. One at the Ashby Hall and one at the Wooloweyah Hall, both absolutely magical spaces where everyone can experience being inside and outside.
Our workshops are about connecting, nurturing our creativity, feeling seen and heard, having fun, learning to balance being active, resting and feeling free.

I am so grateful for the community support so far 🙏
We have had some amazing collaborations this month with some very talented people also running small business's in the area...

Everything feels easier and more joyful when we have help, or so I reckon 😁❤️

And they are all doing it for chump change, which takes big hearts and care for the youth in this community.

Progress so far...

We are in the process of finding a suitable venue (maybe more then one) to hold our classes every week.
One big priority of this project is to make it accessible and affordable to all families and the way forward on this path is to find places that don’t cost the world!
The only way to get the council venues at a community project price is to be registered as a not for profit organisation, and if anyone has ever tried going down that avenue, I’m sure they feel my pain! It’s a lot a lot a lot of time spent, rules and paperwork!! There is a community initiative program that I will be applying for which waives any venue fees for 6 months, so fingers crossed for that!
Another priority is a space that feels welcoming, friendly, safe. Environment is everything to how we feel in the moment. We want the kids to want to be there and come back.
Idealy somewhere in walking distance from schools too.
