Respiratory Clinic (Sick Clinic)
Winter brings the usual wave of coughs, colds, and flu-like illness through the door and our respiratory (sick) clinic is here to help you get seen quickly.
Available daily, across both locations
The sick clinic runs every day, at both Little Pears and Pear Tree. Because we operate across two sites, it's important to confirm which one your appointment is at check the text message confirmation you receive after booking or simply call the clinic and our team will confirm your location for you. Turning up at the wrong site can mean a longer wait, so this one's worth double-checking before you head out.
Please wait outside, and dress for it
To keep sick and well patients separated, you'll be asked to wait outside rather than in the main waiting area. We know that's not always fun in the middle of winter, so please dress warmly layers, a jacket, whatever keeps you comfortable until a doctor or nurse practitioner comes to collect you.
Heading off straight after your appointment
Once your consultation wraps up, we ask that you head straight out rather than lingering on site. This isn't us rushing you it's part of keeping infection risk down for everyone else waiting. Payment is sorted afterwards, by text and phone, so there's no need to stop at reception on your way out.
If you've got kids with you
We know waiting with little ones isn't always easy, but we'd ask that children avoid playing with any toys inside the clinic during a sick clinic visit. It's a small thing, but it goes a long way in reducing how far germs spread between families.
Why face-to-face matters here
Sick clinic appointments are best done in person. Seeing a doctor or nurse practitioner face to face means they can properly assess you in real time and take any swabs or tests on the spot which often makes all the difference in getting an accurate diagnosis quickly, rather than guessing over the phone.
