Your thoughts aren’t facts. They just feel like it. 🌊

Sometimes they’ll pick you up and dump you like a rogue wave, before you even saw them coming.

Most people are living inside a story their mind wrote and never once looked for evidence outside their own head.

Anxious thoughts. Phobias. The loop that won’t quit at 2am.
Not character flaws.
Not forever.
Patterns.

And patterns can be interrupted.

Two nights past the Blue Moon. 🌕

The sky was pretty black, the ocean was doing its thing in the background, and seven of us sat together in the dark.

Small group. Excellent space for something real to happen.

Tonight, more than one person heard exactly what they needed to hear. Not because I planned it that way, because that’s what happens when you stop running from your own mind and actually get still for an hour.

We talked about micro actions. About the way we speak to ourselves when no one’s listening. About why that inner voice sounds the way it does and exactly how to interrupt it and lay down a new pathway. One that’s actually believable. One that sticks.

This isn’t your regular meditation.

I’m a qualified strategic therapist. Every session is designed to give you something you can use straight away, that night, the next morning. And above all else. You get one full hour of doing something kind for yourself.

We meet weekly live on the Sunshine Coast (yes, with that ocean in the background soundtrack) or online if getting out at night isn’t your thing.

Most people don’t actually need more willpower.

They need the pattern interrupted properly.

The urge.
The ritual.
The nervous system loop.
The automatic thinking.
The emotional attachment.

And at some point…
they have to stop listening to the BS their mind keeps feeding them.

That’s the work.

Teaching people how to notice the pattern, interrupt it, and shift it before it keeps running their life.

I’ve seen clients quit va**ng in 1–2 sessions and regulate alcohol intake through a focused 4-week process because we’re not just talking about the behaviour…

we’re changing what’s driving it underneath.

When the subconscious pattern shifts…
everything changes.

Calmer nervous system.
Clearer thinking.
More self-trust.
Less mental noise.
More freedom.

And watching that shift happen never gets old 🌿

You don’t actually want the wine.

You want the exhale.
The switch-off.
The relief.

And that’s why this pattern feels so much harder to break than people think.

She didn’t need more coping strategies.

She needed freedom from the old story she’d been carrying since childhood.

The one that quietly shaped her relationships, reactions, anxiety, conversations, and sense of self.

Through my Pattern Interrupt Pathway, Evidence Profile Approach, and Optimised Thinking strategies, we worked to interrupt the old subconscious responses driving those patterns.

This work helped her stop responding from fear, inadequacy, and self-doubt…
and start responding from safety, steadiness, confidence, and self-trust.

It’s the thinking.

That constant negotiation is the real drain.

Most women, and many of my clients, think they need more discipline.
But discipline isn’t the issue if your brain still sees alcohol as relief or escape.

That’s why this pattern keeps repeating.

Respond with calm instead of crumbling.

You know the moment
Your heart is already racing before they’ve even opened their mouth.

You can feel it coming.

The tone.
The criticism.
The sharpness.
The subtle belittling.

Maybe it’s a work colleague.
A partner.
A parent.
A sibling.
An adult child.

And even though part of you knows you’re intelligent and capable…

…in that moment your mind speeds up, your chest tightens, you lose your words and you freeze.

In my work, I see this pattern all the time.

People think it’s confidence.

But often it’s actually an automatic nervous system response pattern.
