𝗦𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆—

The mundane and menial tasks of daily life aren’t barriers to happiness.
They are the 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀.
Rather than resenting them, 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

Focus on each step.
Be fully in the moment.

Create simple, calming rituals around any daily routine—big or small.
Washing the dishes. Making the bed. The morning commute.
It’s not about the task; it’s about the 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁.
A lot of your wellbeing—and your happiness—lives here.
In the present moment.
In the small things, done with care.
And if that’s not enough, you’ll still have the quiet satisfaction of doing it well—and a life that feels just a little more in order.

Amazingly, in modern life we don’t seem to focus enough on the pursuit of inner contentment and genuine wellbeing.

The list below is simple, but a useful reminder of why to put it at the top of our goals.

A simple but powerful message! A life-changer, in fact.

Every now and then, be totally aware. Notice, and dwell upon sights, sounds, smells and physical sensations.

Get out of “default mode” and make a conscious choice as to where you place your attention.

I need green. It helps me calm, breathe and reenergise.

Did you know……There is compelling evidence to support the advice of Thoreau and Murray to spend time in nature. Exposure to natural environments has been shown to improve performance on working memory, cognitive flexibility, and attentional control tasks. These results come from studies conducted using a variety of simulated environments (e.g. images, sounds, virtual reality) as well as real world environmental exposure. (Extract from Sage journals, understanding nature and its cognitive benefits (Schertz et al., 2018; Stanford et al., 2019; Stevenson et al., 2018)).

This is one of my favourite walks and this morning my wife spoilt me with a 45minute walk together in Frankston botanical gardens.
