We are grateful to the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs for investing more than $152,000 in programs that will benefit veterans and families across NSW and the ACT.
The funding will help expand a range of initiatives designed to meet people where they are in their journey, including:
• Indigenous Engagement Workshops through the Shoalhaven Veteran and Family Hub
• Music-based programs for veterans in Queanbeyan
• New opportunities for veterans participating in the Homes for Heroes program
• Expanded equine-assisted activities for veterans in regional NSW
• Delivery of the Trojan's Trek wellbeing pilot through Veteran and Family Hubs in NSW
Every veteran's experience is different. That's why access to a variety of programs and services matters. Whether it's building friendships, learning new skills, reconnecting with culture, finding support during difficult times, or discovering a new sense of purpose, these initiatives help create opportunities for veterans and families to participate, grow and thrive.
We're proud to work alongside DVA and community partners to ensure veterans and families can access practical support and meaningful programs close to home.
