Goolburri Aboriginal Health Advancement Co Ltd. Founded in Toowoomba in the early 1990s, Goolburri was established in response to a growing need for accessible, culturally safe health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Ltd is an organisation dedicated to advancing the health and wellbeing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Founded with the goal of

addressing the health disparities faced by Aboriginal Australians, Goolburri focuses on providing culturally appropriate healthcare services, advocacy, and community development programs. Goolburri works collaboratively with various stakeholders, including government agencies, not-for-profit organisations, and community leaders, to advocate for policies and initiatives that support the health and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We aim to ensure that Aboriginal Families voices are heard and that policies are developed in a way that respects and incorporates cultural values and traditions. It was a deadly turnout at every location, and it was wonderful to see our communities coming together to celebrate culture, connection and community.

The Jaydon Adams Foundation Mens Group is bringing men together to strengthen wellbeing, build positive connections, reconnect with culture and support one another.

Over six weeks, participants will take part in a range of activities, yarning circles, and cultural experiences designed to promote mental, emotional and social wellbeing.

STRONG MINDS, STRONG SPIRITS – TOOWOOMBA MEN'S GROUP

Looking for a place to connect, yarn and grow alongside other men in a culturally safe space?

Join us for our 6-week Men's Group, where we'll come together to build stronger connections, learn new skills, strengthen wellbeing, and reconnect with culture and community.

Thursdays 12pm – 2pm

This men’s program is a safe space to come together, yarn about mental health, reconnect with culture, and build strong, respectful relationships. Over six weeks, we’ll share stories, learn new skills, and support each other to grow stronger in ourselves, in our families, and as a community.

βœ… Open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men

We also offer individual support to our participants through:
- Advocating for participants
- Support to attend appointments
