Some places hold a lot of memories. 💛

Last month we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating the official opening of Swansea Community Centre - and this one was pretty special for us!

Our Founder, Laura, grew up in Swansea and remembers coming through these very doors as a little girl for school holiday programs, drama workshops and community activities.

Fast forward a few years (okay... quite a few 😂), and Laura was back through those doors again - this time as a board member, Founder of Well Education and long-time community partner of Belmont Neighbourhood Centre.
What a full-circle moment. 🥰

After around 18 months without this important community space, we are SO happy to see Swansea Community Centre open again and back where it belongs - supporting local children, young people, families and the wider community.

Well Education has proudly worked alongside Belmont Neighbourhood Centre for around six years, supporting girls and young people in our local communities, and we know just how much heart Kylie Abell and her incredible team put into this work.
Swansea Community Centre couldn't be in better hands. 💛

A huge congratulations to Kylie, the BNC team and every person and organisation who worked behind the scenes to make this happen.

And thank you to Yasmin Catley MP and Pat Conroy MP for continuing to back our local communities.

Here's to a new chapter for Swansea Community Centre - and lots of new memories being made inside these walls. 🌿💛

Eating the rainbow has never looked so good! 🌈🍓🥕🥦

Our Year 6 girls at Merewether Public School had a wonderful time creating their own colourful nutritional rainbows using a variety of fruits and vegetables.

This hands-on activity encouraged the girls to explore how different foods help fuel their bodies, support their wellbeing and give them the energy they need to learn, grow and thrive.

Healthy choices can be colourful, creative and delicious! 💚

Today is R U OK? Day 💛

The people who need us most may not always look like they are struggling.

They may still show up. Still smile. Still care for everyone else. Still say, “I’m fine.”

Ask the question. Pause long enough to hear the answer. Listen without rushing to fix it - and remember to check in again.

You do not need to have all the right words. Simply letting someone know they are seen, valued and not alone can mean more than you realise.

And if you are finding things difficult today, please remember:

You matter. Your feelings matter. Your story is not a burden. Reaching out is a sign of courage, not weakness.

Let’s create homes, schools, workplaces and communities where asking “Are you OK?” is only the beginning. 💛

What a wonderful five weeks with the amazing Stage 2 girls at Merewether Public School! 💛

Although this was a shorter Well Beginnings program, the girls embraced every session with such openness, enthusiasm and kindness.

Across the five weeks, we explored confidence, self-worth, emotional awareness, healthy relationships and the importance of recognising the strengths and qualities that make each of us unique.

It was beautiful to see the girls connect, encourage one another, share their ideas and grow in confidence along the way.

Thank you to Merewether Public School for welcoming Well Education into your school community, and to the wonderful Stage 2 girls for making our time together so special. I loved working with you all!

We really do have some incredible women right here in the Hunter. 💗

Last Wednesday, Laura and Karina headed along to the Hunter Business Women's Network catch-up at I2N in Honeysuckle, and came away feeling incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive community of women.

Women building businesses. Women leading teams. Women backing themselves. Women sharing what they've learnt and helping other women coming behind them.

And for us at Well Education, that matters.

So much of our work is about helping girls and young women recognise their worth, find their voice and build confidence in who they are and what they're capable of. What better inspiration than seeing women in their own community doing exactly that in so many different ways?

We also loved hearing from Emma Spartalis, whose own journey from working in a male-dominated industry to building her own business and championing women-led businesses was such a great reminder of what can happen when women back themselves - and each other.

Emma also shared some fascinating insights into AI and how it can be used to support the way we work, grow and do business. Lots for us to take away!

It was a beautiful night of connection, learning and plenty of conversations that we know will continue.

Here's to the incredible women of the Hunter - and to the next generation watching what's possible. 💗

And that's a wrap on FLIP! 🎉

After 10 incredible weeks, our Founder Laura officially completed the I2N FLIP program, finishing with the opportunity to pitch Well Workplaces - our growing workplace program supporting women in traditionally male-dominated industries - at the FLIP Showcase.

It's been an amazing opportunity to step outside the day-to-day, think bigger and gain even greater clarity around the next chapter of Well Education - and how we can take our work building confidence, capability and self-worth into workplaces too.

A huge thank you to I2N at The University of Newcastle, the MacDougall Foundation and everyone who shared their knowledge and support along the way.

And congratulations to the wonderful women of the 2026 FLIP cohort! 💛

10 weeks complete. So much learned. And we're very excited about what's next for Well Education.

You always have a choice.

In Top Chics, we explore our choice points — those moments when we get to decide how we respond, what we stand for and who we want to be.

We have the freedom to choose our actions, but every choice creates a consequence.

So we ask ourselves:

💭 Does this choice align with the values of the woman I want to become?

Because becoming the woman you want to be starts with the choices you make, one moment at a time. 💕

Today in our Top Chicks program, we tackled something every one of us experiences... stress.

Rather than pretending stress doesn't exist, we explored what actually causes it, recognised the unhelpful coping strategies we sometimes fall into, and worked together to replace them with healthier, more effective ways of coping.

Because mental resilience isn't about eliminating stress.

It's about learning to:

Identify what's happening.
Rectify what you can.
Recover well.

These young women had honest conversations, reflected on their own habits, and left with practical tools they can use both at work and in everyday life.

Watching the confidence grow as they realise they have the ability to respond differently to life's challenges is one of the most rewarding parts of this program.

One conversation. One skill. One young woman at a time. 💙

What an exciting start to the term!

This week we officially kicked off Round 3 of our Top Chicks workplace program with two incredible groups of young women - our Williamtown participants and our online cohort connecting from RAAF Base Tindal in Darwin.

We already know this is going to be a fantastic eight weeks. The connections are forming, conversations are flowing, and we can't wait to see the confidence, growth and friendships that develop throughout the journey.

To date, we've had the privilege of supporting more than 200 young women across the Australian Defence Force through our Top Chicks program, and we're incredibly grateful to continue this important partnership with the ADF.

It is an honour to work alongside these inspiring young women. Every session reminds us why this work matters - creating a safe space to build confidence, strengthen wellbeing, and empower women to thrive both personally and professionally.

Here's to another amazing term of learning, laughter, connection and growth. We can't wait to see what these next eight weeks have in store! 💙

Term 3 is shaping up to be another exciting one for the Well Education team.

Over the coming months, we'll be working with children, young people and workplaces across NSW, delivering evidence-informed wellbeing programs that build confidence, resilience, emotional intelligence and self-worth.

Here's a snapshot of what's ahead:

🌱 Well-Beginnings - Supporting primary-aged girls to understand emotions, build healthy friendships and develop the confidence to thrive.

💙 Well-I-AM - Helping young women strengthen resilience, self-worth and mental wellbeing through practical, engaging small-group programs.

🤝 Well-Workplaces - Partnering with organisations to support the wellbeing, confidence and capability of women in the workplace, particularly within male-dominated industries.

Every program is different, but the purpose remains the same: empowering people with the skills, confidence and self-worth to thrive.

We're looking forward to another term of learning, connection and positive impact.
