This project has only been going for 1 week and yet the amount we have accomplished is incredible. Through the collaboration between a friend in Nepal, a friend in New Zealand and with the support of family and friends we are bringing this hope and dream in to a reality.
The past 2 days have been particularly difficult with filling out the paperwork for government agencies. However, the thoroughness of the details the governments require gives us confidence that this project will stay authentic and work with integrity.
We can help these children and we will.
Keep sharing and sending love to all those affected by this natural disaster.

Morning, My son Jolan and his dog Kru, well behaved, are back in town and looking for a rental. Jolan is now a father of a beautiful girl and so is looking for a nice home for them all. Children First Nepal Australia
Our aim is to provide a safe and nurturing space in which children, who have been effected by the floods of 26th August, 2026, can receive aide and well being support. Not only have many children lost their homes but they have also lost family members and witnessed a natural catastrophy of such a large scale that their mental health will be affected for years to come. The body naturally protects us when we go through such a deep and horrific trauma. It may shut the person down , making it difficult for them to function and participate in life. It may also present them with a flight, fright, fight respons which is easily triggered by minor situations. For example, heavy rain or loud noises may trigger the body into a state of panic.
Thus we aim to provide a safe environment where children can come and just be. A place where they know they can focus on play and escape the trauma for just a moment. We aim to employ women who can be present, within this space, to communicate and support children through their healing.
Initially we aim to provide food, clothing and play therapy to these children. With time we will work towards supporting those children orphaned by the flood to access safe living arrangements.
Our structure is within the NGO Children First in Nepal and the Children First Nepal Australia in Australia. We will use Gofundme initiaaly to raise donations whilst these groups are established.
We will be transparent in all that we do so that those donating can be assured of the legitimacy of our proceedings. We will work within the government guidelines of both Nepal and Australia.
In this day and age of technology we can no longer watch those in trauma on our screens and just look the other way. Nepal is a third world country which relies on tourism and trekking to increase it’s economy. With natural disasters being common in this region, this economy is constantly at detriment to it’s happenings.
I vow that I will do all I can to help the children in need by putting them First.

Yesterday we finalised the budget we will need to run this project....

Our NGO in Nepal has done up a budget of what we will need to run this project for 6 months ....to run it over the month of October will cost over $4000 with majority of that going to supplies. Some of the funding is also for employing staff to run the project when we are not there. So far we have raised over 2000. $700 of this needed to be used to set up the project officially in Nepal so that the government will allow us to operate.
So to make this work, i have spent this morning applying for an ABN to set up a charity so that large donations may be tax deductible and so we don't have to keep using gofundme and it expenses to run.
For now we need to keep using gofundme as it will take a number of weeks to register charity.
So $3000 more will make it possible to set the project up and run it over October....please please share ...thanking you.
