Homework #2 - trying to read from objects or jewellery.

In my excitement I asked my friends to bring jewellery from loved ones that have passed to see if I could read energy from it.

Two friends told me who their jewellery once belonged to - which totally defeats the purpose of the exercise! 😂

When I tried to read the jewellery I found myself stuck with performance anxiety and pressure (which I put on myself) to come up with something impressive! Instead, I came up with nothing. Like ziltch!

Why am I posting about this? Because often we see the finished product of the efforts of our labour and practice, and not often to we share the stumbles, the challenges, the crisis of confidences that happen along the way.

I don’t know whether I will be able to read from jewellery, but I am keen to keep trying. And next time, I will give myself more of a chance to see what is possible by making sure I’m in a quiet environment (rather than a restaurant) or with people there waiting to hear my insights! It’s important to ease ourselves in rather than jump in the deep end without floaties!

Dinner was fun though! 😂🤍✨🥳

Practicing my Clairvoyance through Tarot this morning! I’m attending a circle for psychic development taught by Cindy-Psychic Medium & Coach and this was part of our homework.

I did my first blind Tarot reading today for a friend and it was way too much fun!

What does that mean?

It means pulling cards for someone in response to their question and reading them through Clairvoyance rather than looking at the card. The card remains upside down while tuning in. Once I have some psychic downloads, I then turn the card over to see what card it is and what it means.

To be honest, it wouldn’t matter if I saw the card, I have no idea what the cards mean (it’s on my agenda to learn!) - so for now, I have to get ChatGPT to tell me the cards meaning and then combining that with the psychic images in my mind’s eye.

It was mind-blowing for me as someone practicing this for the first time! And so much fun!

There is so much to learn and I don’t know when I will ever feel confident with this but I am just loving the learning process! It’s so energising to try new things and to keep learning!! Isn’t that what life is all about?! 🙏🏽✨🤍

Reiki to the rescue again!

Inspired by this weekend’s class, and mentioning to my students that I had lost my power bank and earphones for a while now, first thing this morning I decided to use a variation of the traditional Reiki technique, Reiji Ho, to find lost objects.

Within 10-20 seconds of invoking the technique, in my mind’s eye I saw a drawer and then more specifically a cupboard in the living room. I went and cleared it out, only to find both zipped up in this toiletries bag! Voila!!

I keep telling my students, Reiki is worth its weight in gold for this technique and also the fresh injuries technique (only because I’m prone to cutting or burning myself cooking!) 😂

Super excited now to go on my walk and to listen to some music after months without it!! 👏🏽👌🏽✨🤍🥰

It’s hard to put words into what we experienced this weekend. Incredible love and friendship amongst the group, and such beautiful support of each other throughout the weekend!

Congratulations to these wonderful four souls who have now learnt the full traditional system of Reiki - completing the second part of Okuden Level 2!

Delving into the deep inner spiritual teachings and the final practices, they were deeply engaged, with a depth of conversation and sharing that made for a really profound weekend.

It’s quite the journey from the first class to this, each level deepening the relationships and the commitment to the practice.

As a teacher, it feels like such a privilege to walk this path with them! And a moving one.

I am deeply grateful for each and every one and have such love in my heart. My cup is full! Whatever they decide to do with Reiki, personal or professional, I know that it will continue to transform them and in turn transform those around them! 🙏🏽✨🥰🤍

Another incredible weekend of Reiki 🤍

Four beautiful Reiki channels (one who preferred to stay behind the camera for the group photo)!

This was the first time I taught Okuden Level II (part 2) in this new format after making the decision to split it into two parts… and it really landed in the way I had hoped!

It allowed the time and space for the teachings to unfold properly…allowing time for the teachings to be experienced by immersing in them.

In this Part 2 class, we went deeper into the inner cultural and spiritual teachings of Reiki - the more esoteric meaning behind the kanji (which adds a whole new dimension to understanding the practice as a whole), the journey of the soul, the purpose of life from a spiritual perspective as well as the Shinto and Buddhist influences present at the time Usui Sensei developed this system.

There’s something so interesting that shifts when students start to feel into this, not just learn it!

They learnt the final two traditional techniques, including a method for working with unwanted mental habits $ patterns as well as distance Reiki - practicing them on each other.

There was so much excitement around this… but also an authenticity in how they met it.

This weekend asked something of them. It asked for vulnerability. And they all showed up with a willingness to do that.

They trusted each other and it’s what made for such a rich and meaningful experience among the group!

We also moved into more serious conversations around stepping into professional practice… the importance of doing your own healing… and what it really means to hold space for someone else.

Over the weekend students remarked that this was their favourite level and that it brought it all in together! I was so happy to hear this!

I can’t wait now so see these students continue to grow into their practice, in whatever way feels right for them. As the final level required before Professional Practice, I am also excited to know that soon there will be more people offering this incredible healing modality to the world!
