June is Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) Awareness Month đź’ś

One of the biggest misconceptions around prolapse is that it’s something women simply have to “put up with.”

They don’t.

Pelvic organ prolapse is common, especially after pregnancy and birth, but common does not mean normal and it definitely does not mean untreatable.

This is where pelvic health physiotherapy can make a huge difference!!

A pelvic health physio can help:
✔️ Assess what’s actually going on
✔️ Guide safe and effective pelvic floor muscle training
✔️ Improve strength, pressure management and confidence
✔️ Help you return to exercise and daily activities
✔️ Reduce symptoms and improve quality of life
✔️ Support you in avoiding symptoms worsening over time

Too many women stay silent because they feel embarrassed, dismissed or assume it’s “normal after kids.”

It’s not something you need to struggle through alone.

At Invigorate, our pelvic health physios are here to provide evidence-based care, education and support in a space where women feel heard and understood.

Because women deserve answers, not just reassurance that “it’s normal.”🫶🏼

📢If you’re experiencing symptoms or want guidance around pelvic floor health, our team is here to help. Book online via the link below or contact the clinic to get started!!

“I had my 6-week check, so I’m good to go.”

We hear this a lot and while 6 weeks is an important milestone, it doesn’t always mean your body is fully recovered or ready for everything again.

Pregnancy and birth create huge changes through your pelvic floor, core and overall load tolerance. For many women, rehab needs to continue well beyond that early check-in.

That’s where pelvic health physio comes in! Helping you understand your recovery and safely build back into movement, exercise and daily life.

If you’re unsure where you’re at in your recovery, it’s worth getting it checked properly 🤍

Meet your ankleđź‘‹

Not just a simple hinge joint! Your ankle is a key player in balance, shock absorption and movement efficiency every single day.

When it’s not moving well, you might notice stiffness, recurring sprains, calf tightness or even knee and hip niggles creeping in.

The good news? With the right assessment and targeted treatment, we can restore strength, control and confidence in your movement.

If your ankle’s been a bit “iffy” lately, it’s worth getting it checked before it turns into something bigger.

📲Book in with the team at Invigorate and lets get your ankles back on track!

Most women book a 6-week postnatal check with their GP… but many don’t realise a pelvic health physio can be just as important at this stage 🤍

Your body has just been through pregnancy and birth, a huge physical change and this appointment is a chance to actually understand how your recovery is going and what your next steps should look like.

At a 6-week pelvic health check, we look at things like pelvic floor function, abdominal recovery (including diastasis recti), scar healing after a C-section, bladder or bowel changes and your return to exercise.

It’s not about rushing recovery, it’s about doing it safely, confidently and with the right guidance for your body.

If you’re not sure where to start post-birth, this is often the most helpful first step.

Our pelvic health physios are here to support you through it all✨️
