✨ Wow what a wonderful year in the clinic! ✨

I am so thankful for each and every person, parent and child I get to work with.

I truly love what I do and it never actually feels like work.

I wish I had the words to describe the healing and transformation I get to witness everyday in this little room of mine.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you ALL. I know this time of year can be hard for many people, I hope you find some quiet time and peace for you and your family and I wish you some wonderful connection time with loved ones.

Shelley

When you slow down and meet your baby’s gaze, something profound happens.

They feel seen.
They feel welcomed.
They feel that they exist.

This is how their sense of self begins to form — not through milestones or perfection, but through connection, presence and attuned eyes.

Your baby doesn’t need you to get it right all the time.
They just need moments like this.

Leave a ❤️ below to celebrate all the Mothers, Fathers and caregivers you know who are doing an amazing job.

I was scared to share this work with parents because even when I had studied this for years - I would still lose it at my children, yell, or my children would display really big behaviours.

I still get frustrated often with my kids.

There’s no such thing as a perfect parent.

For a long time, I held myself back from sharing what I know — because I felt like I didn’t have it all together.

How could I teach this when I still find it hard to stay calm?

There was so much rage inside me back then… and it would spill out, often.

Even now, after 10 years of doing this inner work and 13 years of parenting, it still happens.

I lose my cool. I use a tone I wish I hadn’t. I speak in ways I know don’t feel good to receive.

But here’s the truth — our kids don’t need perfect. They need real.

And so do the parents I walk alongside.

You don’t need someone who’s doing it perfectly (no such thing anyway) You need someone who’s just a bit further down the track.

You need someone who’s doing it honestly.

If you’re here for real. The struggles. The highs. The lows, and everything in between. You’re in the right place.

🌿 Every single baby has a birth story 🌿

Even the most natural of births is an incredible journey for our babies.

Yet so often, we only look at birth through the mother’s lens. What about our babies?

Whether it’s ventouse, forceps, induction, or medical interventions, every experience leaves an imprint — in the body, the fascia, the nervous system and the psyche.

People often say, “Babies won’t remember anyway.”

But they do.

Not in words, but in their bodies. Their implicit memory is held somatically, and babies express and heal these early experiences through their movement and crying, in our loving presence.

In Aware Parenting, we understand that babies cry not only to have immediate needs met (feeding, comfort, changing) — they also cry to release emotions and tell their stories.

In CranioSacral Therapy, this is known as SomatoEmotional release — emotions held in the body finding their way to expression and integration.

Karlton Terry from calls this a “memory cry.” When our babies are expressing a memory. When we listen deeply, babies tell us their stories.

This isn’t to scare parents if your child had a difficult birth. There is good news?

✨ These patterns are changeable and healable.
✨ Our babies — and older children too — are constantly showing us how to help them integrate their early experiences.

If you’d like to understand how to support your baby in healing their birth imprints, I have a course coming soon on Birth Imprints & Healing from Birth Trauma.

And if you have an older child — it’s never too late.

My 21 Days of Play course explores how children use play to heal from their early experiences.

I’m running a live round at the moment and you can still join — link’s in my bio.

OK, that last one is a bit spicy, I know!

But honestly, so many parents come to me wanting to change something in their child. A behaviour that’s challenging, something they can’t seem to get the child to change or the child hasn’t learnt yet.

And often, very quickly, they realise:

“This isn’t about my child, is it? It’s about me.”

That’s the work I love most.

Supporting parents who are ready to look within, to meet those uncomfortable or messy parts that may have been buried long ago.

I love walking alongside parents as they grow, as their relationships transform, and as they rediscover real connection with their child…beyond the myths of “perfect parenting.”

My mission is to help you see your baby or child through a new lens. To treat them with the deep respect, care, and understanding they deserve.

To advocate for those who are often too small to speak for themselves. One parent–child relationship at a time.

If that sounds like you. I’d love to have you stay around this little corner of the internet.

Let’s be friends.

P.S The live round of my play course starts tomorrow!
