From the first residents located at Booragul in 1956, the organisation now cares for in excess of 1200 residents and consumers. Anglican Care services include Home Care, Residential Care and Retirement Living. Our residential aged care homes are located at Booragul, Bulahdelah, Carey Bay, Mount Hutton,

Toronto, Merewether, Jesmond, Warnervale, Taree and Cundletown and provide dementia care, palliative care, married couple accommodation and respite services. A morning full of music, laughter and fun 🎶💃

McIntosh Court recently enjoyed a wonderful morning concert with Sammi, filled with plenty of singing, dancing and smiles.

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, enjoying the music and sharing the joy of being together. Moments like these bring so much energy, connection and happiness to our community.

Bringing generations together

Some of our residents recently enjoyed a heartwarming visit to Cambridge Hills Preschool, spending quality time with the wonderful children and educators.

From chatting and sharing smiles to joining in activities together, the morning was filled with laughter, connection and moments that brought joy to everyone involved. Our residents absolutely adore these intergenerational visits, and it's easy to see why!

East Lake Macquarie Dementia Service's NAIDOC Week celebrations.

Our participants recently enjoyed a wonderful week of activities celebrating the rich cultures, histories and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Together they explored NAIDOC Week through:
🎶 Music and dance
🎨 Creative art activities
🇦🇺 Learning about history and culture
🤲 Storytelling and shared experiences
🌿 Cooking and tasting native bush foods

These meaningful experiences sparked conversation, encouraged connection, and created plenty of smiles along the way.

🖤💛❤️ A special NAIDOC Week visitor at Jesmond Grove

As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, residents at Jesmond Grove enjoyed a visit from Rebecca and some of her amazing native Australian animals.

It was a wonderful opportunity to get up close, learn more about our unique wildlife, share stories and celebrate the rich cultures, histories and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

There were plenty of smiles, curiosity and memorable moments enjoyed by everyone. 💙

🎉 Celebrating 30 years of making people smile 💙

Recently, staff and residents at McIntosh Court came together for a special morning tea to celebrate an incredible milestone — Linda's 30th anniversary with Anglican Care.

From volunteering at McIntosh Court before joining the team in 1996, to now leading our Lifestyle and Wellbeing team, Linda has dedicated three decades to enriching the lives of older people.

"Aged care is my passion, and my devotion is to people living with dementia," Linda shared. "I can honestly say I love my job. Every day I am thankful that I can make people smile or laugh and give them comfort at this time of their lives."

Over the past 30 years, Linda has built lasting friendships with residents, families and colleagues, helping create the warm, welcoming community that McIntosh Court is today. Whether she's planning meaningful activities or going above and beyond to make Christmas extra special, Linda's care and compassion shine through in everything she does.

Linda, thank you for the joy, kindness and dedication you've shared over the past 30 years. Congratulations on this remarkable milestone — we're so grateful you're part of the Anglican Care family. 💐

For NAIDOC Week, some of our residents at Kilpatrick Court got creative and connected through the beautiful art of Aboriginal dot painting.

The activity room was full of brushes and vibrant NAIDOC colours as the residents sat together to learn about the stories and symbolism behind dot painting.

🐾💙 There were plenty of smiles at Alkira Day Therapy Centre!

Our participants recently enjoyed a special visit from Doggie Dates, whose friendly therapy dogs brought lots of joy, laughter and cuddles to the day.

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as everyone spent time with their furry visitors. Moments like these create meaningful connections, spark conversation and make for a truly memorable day.
