East Lake Maquarie Dementia Service participants stepped back in time this week with a vintage Tupperware Party!

Participants enjoyed learning about the history of this much-loved household item while reminiscing about their own experiences attending Tupperware parties over the years. The afternoon was topped off with a delicious snack prepared by the group during their morning Cooks Club. 🧁

🇫🇷 Throwback Thursday: Bastille Day at Jesmond Grove! ✨

Here’s a little Throwback Thursday to our wonderful Bastille Day celebrations at Jesmond Grove!

Residents enjoyed plenty of fun trivia, armchair travel to France and, of course, freshly made crêpes topped with chocolate, cream and strawberries.

A delicious day filled with fun, laughter and a touch of French flair!

🐾 MEET JAZZ! 🐾

We’re excited to introduce the gorgeous Jazz from Doggie Dates Pet Therapy 💛

Jazz recently spent some time visiting our residents at McIntosh Court, bringing plenty of smiles, pats and special moments along the way. 🐶

Doggie Dates Pet Therapy helps foster connection and social interaction through visits from their friendly, trained dogs, and we certainly loved having Jazz spend time with our community!

We can’t wait for our next visit! 🐾💕

🎉 FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS 🎉

Father’s Day celebrations were in full swing at Kilpatrick Court, with a Show & Shine, BBQ and concert all rolled into one fantastic morning!

Residents enjoyed soaking up the sunshine, sharing delicious food and enjoying plenty of entertainment with friends and family.

🌊 A Wonderful Day Out at Nelson Bay!

A small group of Alkira participants recently enjoyed a special day outing to Nelson Bay, organised and facilitated by the incredible HCEs who work within Alkira.

The group spent the day taking in the beautiful scenery with scenic walks, enjoying a range of activities and, most importantly, sharing stories and memories. For some participants, the visit sparked fond memories of moments they had spent in Nelson Bay throughout their lives.

It was truly a fantastic day out, filled with new experiences, meaningful conversations and plenty of wonderful memories for both Alkira participants and care staff. 💙
