On Saturday I did something I haven’t done in 15 months.
I spent 10 hours away from Sadie.
No Wiggles. No Barbie Girl. No tiny dictator demanding snacks from the backseat.
I went to a homeopathy workshop with Sheridan Peacock at Sarah Valentini place and honestly? I was so ready for it.
Before kids, my life was full. Child and youth mental health nurse. Sports trainer for the Gold Coast Suns. Emerging kinesiologist. Secretary of the Horsham Football Club. Stepmum. Partner. A person with a life that felt like hers.
Then came a kid. Then COVID. Then a move. Then surprise, another kid. And somewhere in all of that, I lost myself. Not dramatically. Just quietly. The way you don’t notice a light dimming until the room is dark.
I didn’t love every bit of it, I’ll be honest. I love my kids fiercely (except when they’re being sh*ts, then they’re Luke’s kids). But the relentlessness of it was turning me into a shell of myself. And that’s not good for anyone, least of all them.
So I made some changes. Hard ones. The kind that come with guilt and a very upset Sadie and poor Luke holding it all together while I choose myself for a day.
But I’m better when I give to myself too.
That’s what The Quiet Revolution is about.
Six months. Small group. Finding the contracts that have been keeping you small, and quietly, steadily, renegotiating them.
3 spots left. DM me and we’ll have a chat about whether it’s right for you.
